Good review for a group that I confess I have never even heard of, not even in my most industrial past. Well done!

Honestly, it seems to me that this is a rather superficial and/or, at least, biased analysis. Not entirely unfounded, of course, but certainly tainted by the success the film achieved. By the way, earlier you said that it’s a film aimed at the alternative '90s (with at least a 5-year delay), then that it’s a clever and commercial film... In reality, the film was initially a complete failure, despite featuring two fairly well-known actors (the "Dr. Carter" and Barrymore), and only became a "cult" after its second screening. It seems to me that the film, despite all the hype at the time of its re-release, and all the downscaling in recent years (also due to that mess of a sequel), ends up being a decent product and, most importantly, not lacking in charm. That it veers into nonsense at various points and that some people wanted to see absolute truth in it is another story, but in my opinion, that does not undermine some objectively positive aspects.

Elegant, classy stuff. A film to watch like you drink a good whiskey: slowly, without distractions, savoring it. Superb photography. Pure performances. Not among my absolute favorites from the brothers, but a great film for sure.

Indeed, I feel I can align myself with His Sfasciosità's judgment on the character (assuming it's the same one doing the radio show). As for the book, who knows... It has sparked a tiny bit of curiosity in me.

I haven't listened to anything new in X months. In the year of our Lord 2012, I believe I've listened to no more than a handful of new releases... Luckily, there's you, little psycho, who always knows how to pique my curiosity. Bye bye.

Ah, good job Nestlé for bringing Balti into the mix (just to stay in the "passera" circle). What a disappointment. I mean, supermodel, super TIM advertisement, etc. etc., and then I find myself with this incredibly wooden piece of wood - not even particularly beautiful - nervously laughing, tripping, unable to read two lines and string together two words without ending up in hypersalivation. Another deadly disappointment, poor Crozza. As far as I'm concerned, the performance in Sanremo was the tombstone of his career. He demonstrated zero improvisational skills, appearing comfortable only with a compliant audience. Honestly, I don't recall another display of such dazedness in the history of television. We're at the levels of the infamous Sanremo with Joaquin Phoenix, Celentano, and a couple of other spawn of unknown mothers and too well-known 1980s fathers whose names I can't remember now...

I also see here and there. Mengoni: does this song seem to anyone else exactly like another one from a girl or from XFactor or Amici that went something like: "Without a departure or return, I find another day..."?!? I'm sorry for Chiara (who is so out of it that I actually find her likable), because she has a nice voice, but she ended up with some indecent songs. Modà are unpresentable: they sound like stuff from sixty years ago, plus they have a charm that only Albano from L'Isola dei Famosi has managed to give us. Maria Nazionale: should be suppressed just for the faces she made while singing. Gazzè is cute, but certainly not at his best. Molinari is not to be judged: as soon as she appeared on stage, I rushed to find some naked photos of her on Google Images and I didn't hear a single note.

Three weeks ago, I went to the bookstore to buy it. Unfortunately, they had run out, so I bought, on the recommendation of the bookseller, "The Pale King," also by DFW. After about a hundred somewhat fascinating pages, I got bogged down in a chapter about a guy reminiscing about his time doing simpamine in college and - evidently - it really took a toll on him. There are about 400 pages left to the end. For the first time in my life, I'm tempted to abandon a book before finishing it. I feel like all of this is somehow that damn Blechtravone's fault...

I've heard great things about it. Good on you for mentioning it here.

I spoke with about ten people from different cinematic backgrounds who saw it in recent days: practically all of them, as soon as they left the cinema, rushed home, pulled out their childhood toys, guns, and belts, and since then they keep saying obsessively that when they grow up, they want to be gunslingers. I'm waiting to see it in a microwave version, but of good quality.
