Hi Bisius. I’ll start by saying that I really like your approach to the discussions that your reviews bring up (almost modest, not at all combative, aware of your limits, etc.). So I’ll avoid telling you off and I’ll try to explain the reasons why I loathe anyone (and I mean anyone) who sends duplicate reviews. 1) The Writer's Motivation. Writing a review takes time and effort. Maybe someone works + has other things to do besides spending hours at the computer writing. Maybe someone busts their ass, searches for information on little-known groups, works hard to make a review as complete as possible... then, however, they don’t have the luck of ending up in the left column and what happens?!? It happens that their review gets published on the homepage for a handful of hours before being pushed aside by yet another review of SOAD, Iron, and the usual suspects, or by the first review of the same old fake or the latest illiterate. 2) The Reader's Motivation. Personally, I visit Debaser to discover new bands, stay informed, and engage with people who might know more than I do. However, if every 5 reviews, 3 are of albums that have already been dissected, squeezed, debated, drained of all vitality by 2, 3,... 5 (in some cases even more!!) reviews... well, the whole point goes to hell! If we exaggerate, we could reach a point where everyone will write their own review for every album! I don’t want to deny you in any way the right to express your opinion. I’m just saying that in doing so, in my opinion, you’re abusing it and ending up harming others. Then do whatever the hell you want. Bye.

Oh my goodness… what desolation… I thought/hoped that the review for Vendetta would be the one with the fewest votes/comments… but this one is pretty close to that!.. I believe, however, that I can still do better/worse: I have a half notion of reviewing the first of the Schoolgirl series… guaranteed zero votes!!.. thank you so much for the beautiful votes/comments.. (especially to Il Capo who continuously bestows upon me his magnanimity!:DD!) Hello everyone!

Blind Guardian A Twist In The Myth
Voto:
I admit I read it quite quickly, but it really seems excellent. A thorough and objective analysis. I still remember when listening to Blind Guardian was a matter of pride for a few, not a reason for mockery for many... when I was muuuuuch younger (and many albums ago) I kept photos with and autographs from Kursch and the rest of the gang like relics. Now I could almost sell them on E-Bay! I fully agree with the judgment on the album (better than ANATO, but we're far from a masterpiece...). I want to clarify two aspects: 1) Kursch is a jerk. I've read interviews where he sees himself as the prophet of experimentation, of innovation, of constantly changing, etc. (among other things, calling Thomen a fool for getting stuck in an outdated style, etc.). In my opinion, this album proves that with ANATO he went too far and now he's trying to backtrack a bit (but this is purely my personal opinion). 2) Is it possible that in the last albums by BG, THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SOLO THAT CAN BE DEFINED AS SUCH?!?.. Damn... they all sound like nursery rhymes, sugary melodies from a music box, Olbrich (I don’t remember how it’s spelled…) is now transcribing Fisher Price lullabies and trying to pass them off as cool. They’re so busy harmonizing even their farts that they’ve forgotten how to make a decent metal solo... Wow, what an acid comment... brrr...

But are you sure they are really from Milan-Milan?!? The drummer (unless they replaced him..) was in elementary school with me, and I don’t remember ever living in Milan! Almost ten years ago they even played at my high school graduation party.. not to mention that a lot of the "credit" for spreading their music also goes to the legendary Radio Lupo Solitario! The review seems good.. Bye!

Thank you so much vss and sfascia (especially), your generosity comforts and reassures me. @sfascia: indeed there was - but above all there is - a lot of better stuff out there.. And let's hope that the next release will be more satisfying..
