Diamond Head Lightning To The Nations
Voto:
I was doing a preliminary check to make sure no one had already talked about Diamond Head and I came across this review... it’s really a shame about the few comments-votes (at least the number of visits is decent!). Really well done: honestly, I wouldn't have brought up Metallica so much (and I would have elaborated more on the scene of the time), but the choice was made with evident awareness and that’s enough. The album speaks for itself! P.S.: but the cover?!.. I’m ALMOST sure my copy is different!!! Bye!
Annihilator Set the World On Fire

In these weeks, I've realized that I've missed a ton of reviews published in June (like one from Running Wild that went for TWO MONTHS WITHOUT ANY COMMENTS... what?!). Anyway: this album, in my opinion and just to conform to the good Vlad, is really "bad bad bad"!! It's something that, at the time, truly threw me into despair! Giving it 5 stars is a cruelty towards the previous ones! (And what do we give to "Alice In Hell"?!... 15?!?!). As for the review: formally I would say it's good, content more than debatable. Bye!

I don't hide the fact that I was a more than decent fan of Vio-lence, quite a few years ago. However, what you call "modern-sounding Thrash" has always made me cringe, and at the time, I decided to avoid this album carefully. I'm not saying you changed my mind... but you came very, very close! Torque has earned a listen, and you get a solid rating. Compliments!
Phlebotomized Immense Intense Suspense

"Immense Intense Suspense"... mmm... and why not "Lamento Portento Tormento"?!.. or "Lussuosa Pelosa Virtuosa"?! I hope it doesn't want to be a semi-quote from "Epicus Doomicus etceterus"!!!.. I couldn't care less about that kind of stuff, but the review doesn't seem badly written. As for the "melancholic" part... I don't know... it doesn't seem worth making a tragedy out of it.. anyway.. Bye!
The Blood Brothers ...Burn, Piano Island, Burn

From the little I understood about the genre they do, I would say they definitely have all the cards to make me shit myself... meanwhile, the review is more than nice and I read it with pleasure. Bye!
Mercyful Fate Nuns Have No Fun (EP)

I don’t want to stick my nose into your business, but... am I wrong or have you been missing from Debaser for a while?! Anyway: the album is obviously not essential, but it has great "historical" value. Good review! Bye!

Thank you so much, Masvidal. To be honest, I think I owe you an apology for a comment of mine that was perhaps excessively melodramatic and negative. As the comments on your review testify, you simply gave voice to the common opinion... I should have judged your review more objectively, but instead, I let myself be influenced by purely subjective issues (first and foremost the fact that you published before me! :)). Bye!

Sfascia's comment allows me to make a note not included in the review: Psalm 9 originally had no title and therefore was simply referred to by the name of the band. In '90 these geniuses thought it would be a good idea to release another self-titled album (by the way, the first chapter of the semi-psychedelic turn). Since then, the album in question has been renamed Psalm 9, indeed. Thank you so much @sfascia, as usual..
Grip Inc. Nemesis

I confess I have somewhat vague memories of this album (Grip have never really driven me crazy - the disdain I have for Sorychta is almost equal to the blind devotion I have for Lomabdro), but it seems to me that it was slightly inferior to the debut... I mean, I would reserve a "5" for bands/albums of greater stature... The review, however, is not bad, but I would have preferred fewer words on band discography and more on the songs! Bye!
