In this review, there are at least 2 or 3 spot-on definitions for this album. I partially agree with Doc J when he says that the central part is the least successful, but, as you noted as well, discussing over 30 songs decently can be very complicated... In short: congratulations! As for the album... I confess I found it rather challenging, but I truly believe it's undoubtedly a masterpiece. Hi everyone!

I don't know the album, having left this band (and German power metal in general) several years ago. The review, in itself, would be good. If we also consider that you finally gave space to a group that isn’t very present on this site (..some will say "thank goodness"..:DD!!) I'd say you deserve a solid 5!!. P.S.: I forgot to reply to you about the review of Black Sabbath: you can easily find Liege Lord on the mule!! Bye!

@ocram: come on, it’s not a sin!.. if one doesn't infuse all the emotional weight that comes with listening to the album into their reviews, it’s all for nothing!! Okay, it’s good to be objective, but a surgical analysis of the tracks is boring and pointless!.. anyway, you’re right: I don’t consider you a “good” reviewer either.. at best an “excellent” reviewer!:DDD!! That said: I’ve been having big problems at work these weeks (so much that since the beginning of the year I think I’ve sent only one review..), which I hope will be resolved soon.. Some time ago I jotted down a few ideas for a review of Infernal Overkill.. So, if it’s fine with you, I’ll take Infernal Overkill and you take Eternal Devastation!!.. let me know!! Bye!

@H.B.: I think you said something silly about the "counting mechanism": so much so that if you stay on a review page and repeatedly click "refresh page," the count increases with each click!.. 72 thousand visits in three months is nothing short of miraculous!!:DDD! Hi everyone!

..oh my goodness!!..it wasn’t my intention to stir up controversy!!:DD!! My comment was based solely on a simple observation: the fact that a handful of loyal listeners and a few critics from some specialized magazines agree in praising an album/band doesn’t seem sufficient to define that album/band as "overrated." I was there at the time too: unfortunately, I wasn’t a regular reader of specialized magazines and can’t say whether the "critics" really boosted them or not. Certainly, I don’t recall it being particularly widespread/known among my group of metalhead buddies at the time! ..mmm..this comment is getting too long and it’s Saturday morning.. So I’ll just repeat: I didn’t want to stir up controversy!:)! Bye!

..ahhhh..how nice to find oneself at the end of a (shitty) day reading one of your reviews!..technically perfect analysis, but I don't fully agree with your final judgment on the album: excellent, sure, but not a 5.. That being said, I endorse your previous comment: to be overrated, they would have had to have at least a decent follow-up!:DDD! Hello everyone and once again congratulations to the Boss! Bye!

(..this is out of the blue..) besides the issue of "mental arrogance," the fact is that you are the one who took the trouble to come and read (but are we sure?) and vote (giving it a 1!!!) a review of a group/genre/album you don't like!.. no one here has gone overboard to do anything, nor has anyone made a drama (I don't believe a single person who has commented on this page will have their day ruined by this exchange of posts, or am I wrong?!). At most, we limited ourselves to responding to your harsh and unargued judgment. Or do you expect that after every negative comment/vote you make, people will stop to reflect, enlightened by the indispensability of your (8-9) words and your judgments, refraining from replying?!?.. let me understand: if we were silent, it was because we had no arguments, given that we responded to you with "it almost seems like every light-hearted criticism hits the mark".. Tertium datur or not?!?.. while I wait for this generationally dramatic doubt to be resolved, I send warm regards. Goodbye!
