WOW!! Thank you all so much!! Since we are just a few of us, I want to thank you one by one: thanks to Poletti for the nice vote, to bjork for the declaration of love (given the votes you've been giving me lately, I'm starting to love you back too!!:DDD!!!), to Fidia for the words of esteem (which I reciprocate and hope to deserve) and to mista because we share the same bitter fate! Hi everyone!

@hugoniot: the plot is undoubtedly the weakest aspect of the package (basically, after just a few minutes, it's clear that the 4 are going to meet a terrible end…). However, there are many elements that make it, in my opinion, a masterpiece: the drug viewed as a tool to reach one’s (otherwise unattainable) dreams, the deep loneliness and self-destruction of the four who, just a step away from achieving happiness, stupidly decide to ruin everything with their own hands, the little daily quirks of each one of us. The final scene "in the fetal position," I believe, is infinitely sad.. In short, I really think it's beautifully done! Cheers!

..but come on, this movie is really well made! Modern and videoclippy, but with some genius moments.. If it really wants to be a drug, it's a thousand times better than the highly acclaimed Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (too silly for my taste..). I haven't read the book and I'm ashamed of it, but I think this guy knows how to direct! Bye!

George Lucas Star Wars
Voto:
Oh my goodness!! You're so exaggerated!! Even giving it a 1 for Star Wars!:DDD! Do you know what Hitchcock used to say?!? That "One must design a film the way Shakespeare constructed his comedies: for the audience." I think the secret lies in occasionally removing the broomstick from one’s backside and taking the various films for what they want to be. There's imagination here, visionary creativity, groundbreaking special effects for the time, and so much entertainment for both young and old: and that’s exactly what this film aims to be. If Herzog had made it, I would agree with you. If Lucas had made it, but with anthropological-philosophical-gynae cological intents, I would have agreed. But it's just a film that wants to make the audience dream for a couple of hours… and it does so excellently. I completely agree with you about the character of Lucas (never liked him, it's said there were furious arguments with Ford, who refused multiple times to say some particularly idiotic lines. But we have to give him credit for keeping the rights on the merchandise!!) Bye!

I read the review.. really very good. This is a tough film to review: there are a ton of technical elements (like the split screen at the beginning, the use of wide angle..), but you did well to mention that "bitter aftertaste" it leaves you with.. Bye!

Ah.. just for Burstyn's performance, this film deserves a 5.

I haven't even read the review, but I will always and only give the film a 5. I'll come back later, read the review, and give another 5 to the film. Then I'll let a couple of hours pass, revisit, and give another 5 to the film. Then I'll review again, thank the Italian distribution for never showing it in a damn theater, and give another 5 to the film.

Really interesting album: I don't know whether to call the version of Raining Blood "beautiful and eerie" or "an endless squeezing of nonsense"... Great review! Bye!
