..a review that I might not entirely agree with, but it was wonderful to read and that’s enough for me to give it my humblest faiv. The Perlgem, regardless of what people say, remain an exceptional band live.. and the same goes for Edoardo, who, despite what is said about him on cd, is a superbàbà live. It's just a pity that the remedies for baldness mentioned by the esteemed DottorGonzo are not as effective as they would have us believe (with rare exceptions, such as finasteride). Best regards to everyone, balding or not.

..mmm.. maybe I’m being overly dramatic.. but isn’t it that Tsukamoto and Mike "are shooting a bit in the dark," somewhat like Muccino does here, dramatizing and exaggerating something that perhaps has some truth to it, but maybe doesn’t have the significance they’d like us to believe?!.. I repeat: maybe I’m exaggerating..

@psycho-Mike76: recently I watched Visitor Q by Miike (as suggested some time ago by psycho... thank you very much..) and I would say that even there the Japanese family is not doing well (unless you count the "reconciling" happy ending..). From my comic book background, I also remember that in manga the family was often "in crisis." Usually, certain stereotypes make me frown a bit, especially when they concern such delicate, mutable, subjective entities etc etc etc like family.. but when it’s not just a single voice highlighting the issue, I start to have some suspicions..

..sorry but I wrote the previous post in a hurry.. so: @mike76:..mmm.. I did a quick check and it seems you are absolutely right.. I don't know why but I was sure that The Goblin came later.. thank you very much for the clarification @skyvalley:..one thing that I really like about this director is the "mediocrity" and stubbornness of his characters. For example, in Bullet Ballet the protagonist is played (as in Tokyo Fist) by Tsukamoto himself: not exactly a handsome man, yet his physical weakness is compensated by a rage and fury that seem endless, which, in my opinion, finds its origin in frustration. Frustration attributable, depending on the case, either to the inability to fully comprehend an event, an episode that has upended our existence (like in Bullet Ballet) or, as in Tokyo Fist, a deprivation, the loss of something we feel is rightfully ours.. it's just my interpretation, but I would say that, as you pointed out, some connections can indeed be found with Straw Dog. @muffinman: ..and I think that even the first Tetsuo suffers a bit at the end (personally when the other cyborg shows up, I totally stopped understanding it... :DDD!!). Also Bullet Ballet, which I still find very beautiful (but not on par with Snake or this one), is excellent until halfway, but it seems to struggle to find a natural conclusion, a true "completeness".. but that’s just my opinion, of course!!:DDD!P.S.: I haven't seen Vital yet, is it good?! Thanks again to everyone!

Thank you very much, everyone! I take this comment as an opportunity to share my thoughts on Tsukamoto's cinema: in my opinion, his main flaw is that he tends to "get a bit lost" in the second half of his films. He is excellent at outlining the initial situations, throwing meat on the fire, and leading the story to a turning point, but often loses effectiveness when it comes time to wrap things up, to tie the threads together. Even in Tokyo Fist, in the second half, there is a bit of a feeling that the director doesn't know how to conclude the story; a slight dip in narrative tension... hence the "4" assigned as a rating. @Francescobus: honestly, I don't think we can speak of "cosinian ineptitude" in this case (which, in any case, implies a certain awareness of one's ineptness), but rather a totally and unconsciously passive attitude, a "suffering" of life. This is, at least, the interpretation I've given!! :DDDD!! Hello and thanks to everyone!!

I swear I saw it!!..really a piece of junk.. but in my opinion a hundred times better than "3 meters above the sky." The scenes in the nightclub are genius, with them talking in reverberation and the muffled music in the background, or the scene with Daniele on the beach trying to act drunk, but only managing to look ridiculous. Just one question: why wasn't it included among the literary cases?!?..who knows!

..let's say that one looks at it and hopes that being a lawyer truly means defeating the evil multinationals and defending the weaker ones, maybe even managing to take them to bed!:DDDDD!!..I'm going for a walk by the lake.. bye everyone!

Ruthless critique, but I would say rather well-founded. As you also say in the review "pretty tale for lawyers"... maybe that's why, despite all the flaws you've pointed out, I still like this movie overall!:DDDD! Bye!
