..yes yes.. for heaven's sake! my speech was much more "down to earth" than yours! :) ..I repeat: I happen to be talking to people who tell me that Kubrick is a genius. Then I try to say that, in my opinion, this is true to a certain extent, and systematically I get the reply: "Come on, he's the one who invented the steady cam!" ..oh for crying out loud! ..they can bring up the tracking shots that "pass through walls" in The Killing, but not this steady cam story!! :DDDDD !! ..that's all!! Bye!

..sorry if I interrupt. I've never been a huge admirer of Kubrick, and my comment is certainly "tainted" by this opinion of mine. So: this thing about the steady cam for Shining is systematically thrown in my face every time I try to make some critique of Kubrick. I wonder: are we sure that all the credit should go to the director, or, much more likely, shouldn't it be shared with the cameraman?!? Because already Carpenter, in the first sequence of the first Halloween (which is actually two years earlier - 1978), uses a steady cam that had never been used before, and yet: 1) no one gets all excited every time it's mentioned 2) the credit was immediately given to the cameraman without him being justly placed in the cinema pantheon for that. Then who knows...

I noticed that the NWOBHM encyclopedia site has undergone a major redesign: I'm almost sure that in the previous version there was more information about this band.. …a film that is quite a mess: extremely diluted tension, a final twist that at least leaves you puzzled (and anyway feels pretty déjà vu..), rather flat direction, maybe with the only exception of the flashbacks. For a film of this kind, another review wasn’t needed at all. Sorry, bye.

But how?!?.. you hardly mention the only true hit of their repertoire: "Heavy Metal Mania"!!.. as far as I know, it had some success as a single back in the day, and the little popularity the band enjoyed can definitely be attributed to that track. As for the rest, great review; you did well to bring back this unjustly forgotten album: not exactly a masterpiece, but definitely a good record! Cheers! P.S.: these guys were wild live.. there are live videos on YouTube with the guitarists who look like they’re using shovels instead of picks!:DDD
