In this (delirious) discussion, I don't want to step in... but I want to share something that shocked me a bit. This summer, I was on vacation in Puglia, in a resort. Well... to my utter surprise, I found out that NOBODY wanted to be neighbors in the bungalow with people from Naples. What struck me the most, however, was the attitude of the management staff: not only did they show considerable understanding towards non-Neapolitan visitors, but they even went out of their way to "isolate" the Neapolitans, grouping them all in the same area of the resort and then boasting about it to the other guests who nodded in approval!! Incredible...

@Bubi and popoloitaliano: personally, I have never found the bearded and pot-bellied Carù overwhelmingly charming (but maybe he would say the same thing about me..): too much of a "bear" for my tastes.. what is certain is that I have never met anyone else who knew so much about music. Legends say that, before online commerce took off, there were people from all over Italy who would stock up from him!

What you say is true and undeniable. I've been wandering around this site for just over two years and the biggest problem is constantly from those who connect not so much to engage or get to know each other, but to unload their frustrations, attack, and show off their stupidity, which is certainly deplorable and can sometimes generate frustration. However, I think we should react to this by trying to bring everything (reviews, comments, ratings, etc.) back down to the most absurd dimension possible. The "asshole" I might encounter from Caz is just a word written in a comment by someone who connects to a site... wouldn't it be more serious if it came from a friend?! The 1 rating I get on a review for which I’ve worked so hard is not a letter of resignation! And if “harassing” me isn’t Sanjuro, but a colleague of mine?! Should I change jobs?! Thinking in the opposite direction, and absurdly, a good number of 5 ratings on one of my reviews would be worth as much as a fuck!:DDD! Many (but I don’t think this is your case..) excessively load their presence on these pages with "personal" attributes, while others view musical-cinematic discussion as a life-and-death struggle, a competition to see who knows more.. well.. personally I let them stew in their own juices. I come here to have a laugh and, above all, to discover and share music and films I like. Of course, we might clash, argue, etc. (if there are people who stab each other over a soccer match, do you think we won't throw virtual insults at each other over an album?!:DDD!), but, I repeat, a clash or humiliation on Debaser shouldn't make us give up on doing something we enjoy, like writing reviews.. Ahhhh... what a sappy post.. I'll remedy that immediately: PPPRRRROOOOOOOTTTTTTTT!

@deneil: ..but "fingers up the ass" in what sense?!..bad grades? a string of 1s? acid comments-insults?..I took a look at some of your reviews and it seems to me that you were quite "respected". What should those users say, then, who, having started off on the wrong foot (Bisus, thetrooper, poletti.. the first ones that come to mind), are still flogged every time they try to raise their heads?!..maybe I just missed the ones where they really gave you a hard time!:DD!
