Epic a bunch of nonsense?!? Maybe.. but the genre has also produced some magnificent episodes. I think of Cirith Ungol (Nadsokor is one of the most beautiful metal songs ever, regardless of the subgenre), a good portion of Manilla Road's work, Omen (of which I have a semi-ready review that’s been in the works for six months..), and some stuff from the early Manowar. Among more recent bands, my almost fellow townsmen Doomsword are greatly appreciated.. in short, it's too easy to label everything as crap!

Overkill, dear, why fret about our sexual activity?!? Personally, I've just come off two weeks of pure delirium: I can't even have a little bar chat about the whole relaxation thing without running into your wrath?!

..And no!.. I want to know what you think is the perfect metal album (if, in your opinion, there isn't one, just say the one that comes closest!):DD! P.S. for anyone reading my previous comment: just to clarify, we’re joking here!!.. let’s not start with stick-up-the-ass comments like perfection is a concept alien to human endeavors, etc., etc., etc.!

I’ll start by apologizing to Cpt: the last few days have been a mess, and I’ve really had very little time to respond to you properly. I’m really sorry. I’ve noticed that the discussion has now gone well beyond my comments, and I don’t want to revisit arguments that have already been made by others. I’ll just summarize my thoughts, more out of “duty to the record” than because this page necessitates it. 1) Judas no NWOBHM; 2) Judas post '82 = pure heavy 3) Hard rock episodes and influences can be found in the vast majority of heavy productions from the '80s, without compromising their nature; 4) Between Saxon and Judas, I’d say Halford and his bandmates have made the biggest contribution; 5) Painkiller is the perfect metal album. Hi everyone!!

..I'm in a huge rush (btw: I'll reply properly as soon as I have a bit of time! Sorry!!) @rive: go to the NWOBHM encyclopedia.. you’ll find the most obscure and annoying bands from Albion, but not the Judas Priest!

@cpt: ..mmm.. to be honest, I see it differently.. The fact is that this afternoon at the office is chaotic and I can't write much: I'm postponing everything until after dinner!:DD! I just want to understand two things: do you think 1) if Judas aren't completely heavy, which other '80s bands are 2) if Judas aren't the pioneers of the genre, which other bands are. I'm really sorry Captain, this is the best I can write at the moment!! Bye!
