I don't know if what I experienced can be strictly defined as a "disappointment." I certainly expected more: I'm not talking about "experimentation," but something I hadn't heard before, for sure! I didn't want a fireworks show; a couple of well-placed firecrackers would have been enough for me. Instead, I got little firecrackers. Both in terms of sound and composition. Then again, to be fair, the quality is always there; I'm not complaining, but...

I subscribe to Liquid Sound Company: but they have some covers... brrrrrrr!:DD! I don't mind Litmus: they're so much of a smart-ass and unashamedly derivative that in the end, they work. I need to check on Earthlings... there are too many bands whose names start with Earth(less/ling) that I keep mixing them up continuously! Speaking of disappointments or alleged ones, here's the one that troubles me the most: COLOUR HAZE!! I listened to the new one intensely for three days straight, then nothing. I quote odra: "ritual ablution" is a masterful definition! @trell: this afternoon I'll give the soul seeker another try... at most, I can blame the geraniums on some summer storm!

I don't like him!!! Once, he drove me crazy while I was searching for The Head: since then, I've sworn on my mother's geraniums that I would never use him again. And if something happens to my mother's geraniums, I'll end up like the Impurities from the title of this album...

Driven by the renewed enthusiasm for this record, I am getting my hands on their older productions which, from what I’ve read, were definitely more “GGGGRRRRRRR!!!!!”. I even stumbled upon a split with Red Sparowes that I was unaware of: I’ve been missing 440Kb for three days. I wouldn’t mind talking about it with my nephews... who knows! It’s relatively unrelated, but I’ll take the opportunity: how about I mention Liquid Sound Company?!?!

Yeah. To be honest, I came back to this after the last one left me a bit indifferent. I admit I haven't listened to it much, but it feels like a sort of "appendix" that's not really essential. I don't know if it's already time to label it mercilessly as "uninspired"; I want to give it a few more listens first, but it seems to me like the soup is pretty much the same, just with more broth and less spelt and legumes.

Note. And, I add, one does not mark in the agenda to end it, "sooner or later," but definitely by August...

These days, I often listen to it in the car, in the evening, during my drive back from the office. There's a kind of latent tension, like a dark sky before a storm, that I absolutely love.

But I am super proud!! In fact, I consider them a sort of national treasure! I’ve worn out their previous two albums precisely because of their ability to expertly blend heavy harshness with a strong romantic-melodic component. I don’t know if they can be defined as "MTV material," but certainly on this album some melodies come off as overly pronounced, the approach is too "processed," as if we’ve gone from a vintage photo to a trinket from a market stall (perhaps a bit of a strong metaphor, but it’s late and I’m feeling sleepy...:DDD!). For me, it’s certainly inferior to both previous albums.

Absolutely true!! That closure drives me crazy!!! I used to do some furious air guitar back in the day... it sounds like some Swedish stuff in a new wave sauce!:DD! I totally agree: Lomo is my favorite song by Klimt!! Oh my... this page is making me crave to get my hands on Dopoguerra, sandwich it between two slices of bread, and devour it like a sandwich!!!!:DD!
