In reality, I’m like the kid from Malèna. Only instead of Bellucci, I have Fest...

Seen live a few years ago: an incredible entertainer, really stupid! Obscene pelvic movements, delirious speeches between songs, a total loudmouth, but really good with the guitar. By the way: <<we are in a meadow near a river>> reassured me: for a moment I feared that they had held this festival in that dark area between two buttocks called "Live Club" or something like that...

Reading this review, I couldn't help but imagine you chewing tobacco and trying to hit a spittoon... anyway, beautiful...
Hayao Miyazaki Laputa: Castello Nel Cielo

A "simple" review, but not a bad one. I would have liked some comparison with the other works of the Maestro, but it seems that a sincere passion for the director and his work shines through. The film, damn me, was the last one I saw by Miyazaki and I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have: at the risk of sounding blasphemous, I have to say it feels a bit too much like a rehash of Conan (from a few years earlier). In short, it's one that I revisit less frequently.

No, no. This album has to be the original: a team of researchers from L'Oreal Paris has determined that the only species capable of surviving a nuclear war are cockroaches and Matt Pike. Buying it today is an investment for the future! And come on, tell me it doesn't have the prettiest title in the world: "The Art of Self-Defense"... this is the album of the Milanese commuter: you listen to it and you're pissed off at the world for the rest of the day.

Yet another review/album that has gone mostly unnoticed. What a shame. I gave it another listen yesterday, almost by accident: I remembered it being way worse!

Very nice review, but regarding the genre/band, I feel about the same as Fest: there are some things by Neurosis that I liked a lot, but the genre is a dish that I end up ordering very rarely.

Well... I think so!:DD Especially if you take Holy Mountain as a reference. Moon's review is perfect because it hits the target: this album "IS NOT". It basically seems made to not please anyone: too rotten and mystical for someone who listens to "normal" metal, too heavy for someone who listens to stoner, too fast for someone who listens to doom, too massive for those looking for psychedelia... However, the listening is highly recommended because there are really few albums like this out there, so much so that even High On Fire have not been able to replicate it. But be prepared because it's a hell of a kick in the teeth (just to stay on theme...) ;)

@Ole: ciuspia... I don't know your tastes perfectly, but do you really like High On Fire?! And, above all, this album?!

To tell the truth, the users Brufolo and Fire Queen expressed strong doubts about the reviewer’s sexual tendencies way back in 2005... :)) P.S.: I filed my teeth down with a grinder to write this comment.
