Excellent review. And what a proposal! Really well done.

I have the first three Lucifer's (I think). They're not bad albums, mind you, especially "Where The groupies etc etc": they really do quite well technically and pack in a lot of things. However, I find them overly polished, almost annoyingly devoid of rough edges. Aside from a few songs (like "Prince of Darkness," where they practically anticipate Rainbow by 2-3 years :D), I end up listening to them rather rarely. Needless to say, there's also a lot of crazy rambling about them online...

Oh my God... Mournin by Night Sun is absolutely insane: violent and super intense, the guitar in that record sounds like a gear breaking apart. The first time I heard it, I was left speechless! Just to stay in Germany, do you like Lucifer's Friend?

Right now I’m in the fancy living room of Cristianovaroccia doing some shopping! ;) P.S.: am I the only one who thinks the cover is absolutely gorgeous?!? That kind of turkey instead of the guy's nose is hilarious!

...or maybe it's just that I've started listening to crap music!:DDD!

I quote DarkHaem (and, I imagine, all of its many manifestations): it’s as interesting and well-written as it is long. At least the first two paragraphs could have been omitted. Otherwise, truly a great analysis. Well done!

Welcome from my side too! A very good review for its conciseness and effectiveness. I extend to you the same invitation made to another user: send them in bulk, as the film section needs new life! :)

I could even turn a blind eye to copying, since many people do it. But copying from RockStar is an endless sadness!! If that's the case, shame on you.

Thank you again! @Antmo: I’ve already sent you a tub of chicken broth, so you can get better quickly and come here all the time :)! The cure for every cold is Wics MediNight: it basically makes you sleep until the seasonal ailment goes away naturally. You wake up thinking, “Wow! This stuff really works!” Only, in the meantime, three days have passed and you don’t know it. Regarding the Dead Man issue, I’ll tie it back to what I mentioned earlier to Fest: I should point out that I'm not exactly an expert on the '60s-'70s.. but it seems a bit excessive to talk about "carbon copies" or "tribute bands." I mean: just to linger in the Örebro area, if we call them "space rockers," for Witchcraft and Burning Saviours we’d have to talk about "recordings found in the studios of Cologno Monzese" :D! Okay, here we have the flute à la Jethro Tull (which is just a flute, after all...) and there are some Sabbath-esque passages. I read a review that invoked H.P. Lovecraft... well, yes, maybe something, but I don’t think it can be considered plagiarism. The first one was certainly more derivative, even vocally. It was rougher, there were more electric guitars, and it had a more blues-oriented style, but I wouldn't call it a (rock)blues album tout court, like I'd consider the Josefus (I repeat: without being an expert on that scene). It seems to me that in Euphoria, the derivativeness has significantly decreased, and the focus has shifted from blues to folk, with a more "sunset in the moors" approach and less of a "saloon bar" vibe. I feel like I heard more instruments and more psychedelia.. And anyway, I'm really glad you stopped by around here! :))
