Neil Gaiman, Chris Bachalo, Mark Buckingham, Dave McKean Death: L'Alto Costo della Vita (Death: The High Cost of Living)

@Kemo: to be honest, I made a vow to the black Madonna of Greyskull, which is why I never review two works by the same author. The thing is, I like the idea that an artist should always be faced by as many "voices" as possible. So, with the review of American Gods, I will have completed my task. However, just to stay on topic, some time ago I reviewed "Mirror Mask": the film directed by Dave McKean and co-written with Gaiman... of course, a review of Doll's House... hiiiiiii ;))

Thank you so much, dear! Are you the one who's been downloading their entire discography on Soulseek?!?;DD

Beautiful. And rich in ideas. The passage about esprit de l'escalier and the one about the girl with the white gloves are stunning. By the way, graphically, Bachalo's Death is one of my favorites: I remember having had a poster hanging in my room for a while with her holding an umbrella (taken from a miniseries following this one). I hope to finish my review of American Gods in the next few days... don’t steal it from me, okay?!? ;)))
Black Mountain In the Future

This album has the merit of making me pull out my guitar and amplifier to mess around playing the final part of Tyrants. Just to be more cliché than usual, I’ll say that it’s not the best album of 2008 for me, but it’s a good album.

Really great! The passages in the pilgrims' village made me grin quite a bit! For me, it was the second book by Chuck (after "Invisible Monsters") that made me say, "Okay, I like this writer!"
Interpol Turn on the Bright Lights

Ellamadosca! 5 to the interpollis seems a bit exaggerated to me, regardless of the album. I think this is what I like the most in the end: I mean, it's not trash, but I just can't get behind it.

"he says a lot but actually says very little" is probably the most effective way to define this review! Well done Icnarf! ;)

Quoto Fest: hilariously entertaining and useful for uncovering some juicy anecdotes, but far from reliable. It's a pleasure to read, although I believe the translator must have sweated through 17 shirts.
Artillery Fear Of Tomorrow
Voto:
Really excellent review! Artillery are one of those bands that "win you over," if only for the courage to show up in stores with the cover of Terror Squad. I have a soft spot for the band (By Inheritance was one of my first reviews!!), but not so much for this album, which is truly very raw. As you said yourself, with time they would truly give their best. Again, congratulations!!
Ornette Coleman The Shape Of Jazz To Come

The album I'm devouring these days: splendid. As far as I understand, the review contains some "technical" errors, but for an ignorant person like me, it's still manna from heaven.
