"I confess that initially I was sure I had read Salvador Casumano." :DDD. On the list there should also be Starblazer with... mmm... well, Rhapsody, Cradle Of Filth, that guy whose girlfriend is almost as beautiful as his tractor, and Iron Maiden.

I haven't heard it yet. To be honest, I didn't even know it had come out... After your review, I don't even know if I feel like listening to it anymore! :))

I've read from various sources that his early albums are very good, but the song with J-Ax is absolute garbage I've never heard before...

I'm only reading the comments now. So, regarding the fascist discourse or not, I couldn't care less. However, I'm not entirely on board with the accusation of recycling themes. I'll admit I have just a bit of school memory, but it seems to me that he wrote only about 5-6 novels or thereabouts, of which practically only those after Il Fu Mattia Pascal are remembered. Of those 5-6, Suo Marito doesn't seem to tackle the theme of relativism/duality, while in "I quaderni..." the theme of duality is paired with that of man-machine alienation. Then there's the whole discussion about humor (with the relevant essay). There's also the entire theatrical production, with the story of breaking the fourth wall (it was in Six Characters, right?!). And then (and this might matter just a little), I've always liked how he describes women! :)) All this to say: I don't know, it doesn't seem like such a big deal to me... then again, maybe it's just that I got screwed by the school system, huh?! :))
