VOGAN VOGAN presentano "Il ritratto" primo singolo dall'album POLVERE
Voto:
One of the hardest and truest lessons that life has taught me is: "A man is his face." If you have the face of a sausage vendor, you can listen to the Ramones even when it's your turn to clean the stairs in the building, but you'll always remain a sausage vendor. And your attempt to "wink at the immediate and communicative audacity of our local pop" will, at best, be regarded by those watching you as the aftereffect of a bad stroke, like Umberto Bossi. And that's why it's really strange that a beautiful man with a very long and wide penis like me still has 17 years left on his mortgage, but that's how it is. In any case: the song is the worst thing I've listened to in at least the last 4 years, but if anyone has the name of the girl in the video, I’d gladly look for some of her photos in a swimsuit.
David O. Russell American Hustle

I understand your thoughts on Russell, but I don't feel so negative about it. The thing is evident in Il Lato Positivo: the entire first part is just neurotic enough in terms of story, dialogue, and direction, but the second part becomes heavily banalized to the point of taking on the contours of a classic American romantic comedy. I enjoyed this part more right up to the end: the story, while not featuring any crazy strokes of genius, is constructed well enough. The actors are all in great shape, and if I didn't have libido issues due to andropause, you wouldn't even be able to count the times I would have gotten a hard-on from the two hotties. Give me a threesome with Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence, and then let me die in peace...

In fact, they arrive a bit "too late," in the sense that - although I'm not an expert in the genre - this type of sound has been around for at least 10 years or so, rehashed in every way possible. However, upon first listen, it struck me as an inspired album. I confess it didn't "captivate" me as it did for you, but it was a pleasant experience. Do you like Talons? I've listened to their New Topographics a couple of times and it seemed so cozy to me!

I’m really curious to see this movie... oh no, damn, I got the wrong review.

I like them quite a bit, for several reasons, not just musical ones. For example, the fact that for them music/art is truly the only means through which they can communicate decently. Every interview they give feels like one of those phone calls I take when my mother calls me at 8 on a Sunday morning: sleepy, with a mouth full of sleep, more focused on not letting out a curse or a burp than on trying to articulate a coherent thought. I’m very curious to hear it.

But then it was worth it to smear my glans with hot wax every night, waiting for your return! How lovely... Welcome back, dear! And to these, I’ll even give an elephant ear.

In my opinion, they have released at least 2 - 3 cool albums. Frequencies, The Big Black, and at least one more that I can’t remember the name of (which might have even been an EP or something like that). I really liked the party vibe that always seemed to come through, one way or another. Then, when they became kind of the Motohead of our days, I confess I totally dropped them. Today I follow them on Facebook: basically, the less I care about their music, the more success they seem to gather all over the place. I’m really happy for them because they still strike me as genuine goofballs who just love to make noise. A bit less for me...
Explosions In The Sky Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Live Forever

On Ondarock's review for this album, it says: "Explosions rendered thanks to a refined guitar style, emulating masters like Joe Satriani and Robert Fripp." It's like saying that my mushroom risotto is an emulation of the fruit salad made by my neighbor's friend's cousin who lives 700 km away from my home...

I added the cover. I hope at least that is truly INDUSTRIAL...
