What confuses me the most about Sorge is not so much the judgments as such, but the fact that in the albums he reviews, I find things that I really don’t hear! The psychedelia in Blowback, the Pink Floyd in Ancestors... reading his reviews, I almost always get a sense of the album that then turns out to be wrong. It’s as if he’s always reviewing an album by Oneida!! :DD

The review, as usual, is very good. However, on the proposal, this time I'm doing a triple somersault!! :)))

@Blech: let me tell you: "A guy gets in the car, goes out through the gate, and merges onto the road." But said in 20 pages (in the paperback edition, it probably took even longer in the original...). Enjoy your reading!! :))

Reviewed in the April issue of Rumore by the increasingly unreliable Sorge. Rating?! ...but "8", what a question!:DD! Good job Azzuccio, I think I trust you more! ;)

Sometimes I still wake up at night with the nightmare of having to reread the first 10 pages of this book... among the most unbearably long-winded things I've ever read. As the story develops, it picks up a little (although it's true that the identity of the murderer is hinted at pretty early...), but the fact remains that it could/should have been 200 pages shorter.

You are becoming one of my favorite reviewers... you have a very effective writing style while remaining concise. Well done! :)

You wrote a really beautiful review... The book had been on my shopping list for a while: after this page, I bumped it up several spots. If, as I gather from Mich's comments, you're also "Utentessa senza pendolo," 5 is the bare minimum! Congratulations! :))

Well, that's not so ZOT!... and anyway, I’m afraid that one on the cover is my first cousin...

I saw them in concert last November: I was expecting a band long past their prime, led by a chubby guy with too much double chin to really make an impact. Well, that night the chubby guy taught a lot of people how to sin... an absolutely awesome concert and the uncle in great shape, despite the equatorial waistline: dazed, fierce, sly, and flashy. Say what you want, but when they played "Negasonic Teenage Warrior," I wasn’t the only one screaming "ooh baby, introduce me to Goooodd!!" :DD

@Mario: you’re right, dear, I apologize, but I haven't had time to check your review to see why it was discarded... I expect to give you a response in the next few days! I ask you to have just a little more patience! :))
