Rereading the review, I realized I forgot to include a paragraph... oh well, it would have sucked anyway... my apologies to the Pilgrim Fathers! :DD @Franci: I really think this record would make you feel like crap, just like the entire Dutch national Subbuteo team!:DD If you want to give it a try, in the more info link you'll find their myspace: try listening to "Fistful Of Bags etc etc etc". By the way, in an issue of Rumore from a few months ago, the singer even explained the meaning behind this title... a very philosophical thing. If I find it, I'll transcribe it. P.S.: read my comment in the Radio Moscow review... and try to come!! :))

It was about time there was a fair distribution of Human Cases across the network! For crying out loud, we couldn’t just keep them all to ourselves forever, could we?!?! :DDD

And I never said I didn't deserve it! On the contrary, you did well to remind me :)) I just said that you're always here. Come on, out there it's full of girls, and if you spend all your time on the computer, you won't get to know any girls... don't tell me you don't like girls!?!

@Ezekiele: last night at a quarter past 3 you were glued to the pc sending private messages. It's 10 in the morning and you're here again?!? :DDD

I don't know either and I don't think it would interest me, but I liked the review... despite the TbT! :)))

In Florence, I met an old man who claimed to have worked in one of the places where they make hamburgers for McDonald's: basically, he told me that inside there’s everything but meat... you can find nails, bones, cartilage, offal... and blood by the liters to give it a bit of color. Not that I believed him, but since that day, I only go to McDonald's in case of emergency! That evening, the plan was to get myself the usual rustichella menu at the Villoresi autogrill, but then the aperitif lasted longer than expected and I arrived at Alcatraz already late. At McDonald's, I had to wait for my Crispy McBacon, but when I returned to the counter with the receipt, they wouldn't give it to me because the guy hadn’t signed it ... it turned into a mess! Inside Alcatraz, at the CD booth was the singer of the Pilgrim Fathers: I and the two friends with me bought the record and he started charming us like crazy: he was almost moved... he asked us if we liked the concert and we told him: "But compliments!!! really... an amazing show!" Honestly, I’d be really curious to see if they manage to release a second album... :))

Kylesa downloaded, but not yet listened to. The best "post" stuff I've heard in the last few months is Hesperus by 5ive: quickly filed away as "heard it already" and rediscovered because everyone was raving about it as a great album. And they were right! :)) Another semi-solo/ultra pumped-up album, though, is by Ancestors: it sounds good in the car, but by the third listen it dropped on me worse than a pair of underwear without elastic... because you can't go ahead doing suites and 10-minute solos if you can't even pull off some decent bends, damn it!! I even wrote a review: if I can, I'll send it in these days. My discovery for April, on the other hand, is some really strange French guys: Aqua Nebula Oscillator. Two albums to their name: the first self-titled is pure psych, the second is more garage fuzzy. They both seemed nice to me, but the first one seems a bit more interesting... thanks again to everyone!! :))

Thank you very much to everyone present. In recent months, I have thrown aside an old vow and started occasionally buying "specialized magazines." One magazine in particular has hyped this album quite a bit, praising its heterogeneity. I was very curious to see how they performed live as the opener for Nebula and Monster Magnet last November. Unfortunately, that evening, I had a fight with the guy at the counter of the McDonald's near Alcatraz, I arrived late, and missed them. To make up for it, I bought the album sight unseen for 10 euros and... well! There are some things I really like: the singer - although a bit too melodramatic for my tastes - is very good, and some solutions-combinations, while "brave," work quite well. However, in my opinion, this album remains too much of a "melting pot," too much of a mishmash to be the semi-masterpiece it was described as.

Great album really, recommended, if I remember correctly, by the unforgettable Festwcone. Frankly, I didn’t feel all this desert thing, but who cares: the review is just how I like it. Small aside: I’m going to see these guys next month along with the White Hills (which doesn’t quite match as a pairing, but never mind). @Franci: why don’t you coordinate with Alia76 and come along too?! :))
