Why do you despise them all?!? But weren't they among the coolest and baddest of the black metal?! I've always seen a lot of people around with their shirts... Whatever. I'll get over it. Besides, I think black metal sucks anyway.

Listened to it a couple of times: really nice album!! To be honest, I didn't enjoy all the tracks, but what a great find. Thank you! :)

I listened to them a bit at the time of their release. The playful, teasing approach seems quite successful, and their video that was going around on YouTube was indeed pretty cheeky. Musically, however, they didn't really impress me much: "a dynamic stoner that's not very lysergic, rocky but not psychedelic"... well, I prefer stoner that’s heavier; the lighter stuff bores me after a while.

Sorry to throw everything into chaos, but I have this on my chest: last year, at the Dinosaur Jr concert, there was also the NonGiovane. Well... Sorry, but I needed to vent.

Well, it's true that in the early years MTV didn't reach the levels of today's "Delirio del nulla". However, if you take a closer look, those early years of MTV were the cradle of what today is sad television: Daniele Bossari, Victoria Cabello, Camila Raznovich... they all came from there. The only one who was somewhat decent was Enrico Silvestrin, who occasionally made faces like ('mmazza o che ccesso sta canzone...). In any case, I owe my thanks to MTV as an ex-teenager, male, heterosexual, for bringing Kris & Kris to Italy. I still have somewhere the poster included with Max featuring the two of them all naked covering each other's private parts... Wonderful...

Better than Verdena, I’d add: Ufomammut, Morkobot, Zu, Teatro degli Orrori, Taras Bulba, Julie's Haircut, El Thule, Dead Elephant, Putiferio... Afterhours (since the target audience is more or less the same), early Marlene (same thing). And now I’m thinking and I can’t come up with any others!!! :DDD

@Franci; come on, let’s not get lost in pointless linguistic-conceptual arguments about what’s alternative or not, as it doesn't seem worth the effort for Verdena. Especially since I put that term in 500 quotes. Regarding the question of "Reflecting on it"... who knows! You tell me they were among the very few who appreciated certain stuff in their area, that they did covers of the Melvins (who might live off music, but I don't really see King Buzzo in a mansion in Miami) and that they borrowed from three (great) bands they loved (which is pretty much what everyone does when they start a band at 16-17). Well, if it was a strategy to break through and make money, I wouldn’t even want them as managers of my weekly allowance. Maybe the problem is just that many tried to pass them off as """"""""""alternative""""""""", when, at least for those who really listen to some """""""""""""""alternative""""""""" """" music, they weren't really that much so. Who knows!
