Here's the mystery revealed: The Church belongs to Soavi, but it flaunted a nice "Dario Argento presents" on the posters. It seems that Darione even contributed to the screenplay. The friends at Splattercontainer, by the way, want to clarify that it's not even a bad film as I remember (http://www.splattercontainer.com/view_recensione.php?ID=228). Little by little, memories resurface like turds when the toilet hasn’t been flushed properly... If I remember correctly, there’s even a reason for that scene. Basically, for the whole previous half hour, the husband keeps complaining about his headache. "What a headache... what a headache..." And the wife, of course, is getting more and more annoyed. The Church?!? Don’t tell me it’s the one where, at some point, there’s an old woman who uses her husband’s severed head to ring the bells... I think I saw that about 15 years ago with my sister. It's the kind of thing that even today, when she invites me for lunch, she says: "No fries for you because 15 years ago you made me watch The Church!"
