Pelican What We All Come To Need
Voto:
I haven't listened to it yet, but I haven't read many good things about it. The previous City of Echoes disappointed me a bit; it felt a bit too bland, verbose, flat... and so I abandoned it after a few listens. However, if you're telling me there are signs of improvement, I'll definitely give it a listen! Good review.

Seen this week: stunning film... I was especially amazed by the "timing," the way pauses and silences are utilized. Some scenes are true gems; above all, I would highlight the blurred shot on the boat and the hide-and-seek scene in the woods. It's strange, though, how the characters' accents (especially the protagonist's) almost diminish the cinematic quality of certain sequences... initially, I confess, this annoyed me a bit, but it manages to give greater emphasis to many dialogues. Beautiful, beautiful.

I completely agree with the Reverend: what a great suggestion... I'm definitely taking this one!

I’m moved… My review of Broca's Helm (from a couple of debaserian lives ago…) was commented on by 3! :DD! Well done for digging up a truly underappreciated group: this really tears it up, no doubt about it... with a less chaotic production it would have been a masterpiece. Great job!

But come on! A little while ago, I was wandering around Milan with the guy from the review and the user OmahaCeleb. At one point, we ended up talking about books and I said, "Carver is one of my favorite writers." And the guy from the review replied, "Oh yes! I know him too: isn't he the one with the mayonnaise?!? I didn't think he wrote books too!" And anyway, for me, it's not Carver: too convoluted. There was a guy in the second edition of Big Brother who passed himself off as a contemporary artist. Well, I think that's where the source is...

Shit... I should have the entire discography of these, and instead I don't know a damn thing.

Good review and juicy recommendation: I listened to them absentmindedly just a few days ago, and they seemed like really good stuff. You've convinced me to explore them further! @Dott: is it true that the latest Siena Root leans heavily towards Eastern sounds?! I followed them up to the one after Kaleidoscope (which remains my favorite).

Even in my tiniest remedy: a sumptuous report...

Good album, but I also preferred them when they were focused on "experimental pop-rock."

Yours are reviews to read after you've turned off your phone, switched off the stereo, and suppressed every other possible source of disturbance (neighbors, girlfriends, bosses...).
