I also think it's slightly inferior to the first: perhaps because it's a tad too self-indulgent, perhaps because they're playing a bit too much on top of each other. On the other hand, I saw them live and they are truly exceptional: primarily because they look even younger than they already are and, above all, because they play with a really impressive naturalness... Well done, Bob, I like you in this laid-back version!

Craven is one of the most inconsistent directors in the history of this fish... I think he's neck and neck with Carpenter. Anyway, this is a gem, no doubt about it. For the base idea, for the main character, for the special effects that were truly groundbreaking at the time (like the tongue coming out of the phone receiver). I saw it for the first time around 11 years old, and it gave me three nights of such tightness in my butt that even a small Lego brick wouldn't fit through.

I'm torn between adding it to my favorites or not... I'm eating a risotto and thinking about it. Well done, Carluccio!

By the way: Stefan, besides sending me love messages, also sends me stickers, flyers, and posters... does he send you posters?!? Huh?! The last time I heard from him via email, I asked him to produce the King Bongs: I even wanted to end the email with "Italia Germania, una razza, una fazza"... anyway, he never replied to that email. I'm afraid I have to interpret that silence as a "go fuck yourself." By the way, some time ago I also asked him if there was any chance of reprinting the out-of-print CH records, but he pretended nothing happened. Like I had asked him 10 questions, and he answered all of them except that one. Who knows!

Damn Blechtruzzo, we've already had this talk about the Elektrohasch catalog 15 times in 27 different reviews... and every time you left a comment saying: "Interesting! I’ll update my Christmas/birthday/name day list right away!" (depending on the time of year). You just needed the phrases: "I heard a couple of tracks on their MySpace: the drummer really does a great job" and "Great tip, I’ll definitely get this one" and then you would have exhausted the catalog. In a nutshell: there’s really very little, very little interesting stuff. CH, the Munchen Session (where, among other things, there’s a cover of Hawkwind’s Brainstorm in Spanish that becomes "Tempesta mental":DD), the latest by Hypnos 69, The Beginning, and, if we really want to be generous, the latest by Ahkmed and Mana by Gas Giant. Otherwise, you can do without it (even though I miss Sula Bassana: maybe it’s worth the hassle...).
