@Alexander: "they didn't publish a review for you but then published similar ones." Alex, I'm sorry but this isn't exactly accurate... The Captain (whom I greet) had sent us the review of a single issue of Dylan Dog. We thought that, by publishing it, the risk would be to see dozens of reviews of single issues of, I don't know, Mickey Mouse, X-Men, all sorts of things. So we decided to limit comic reviews to self-contained volumes, or those that fully collect a work (e.g., Watchmen, Death, etc...). The Captain's review wasn’t the only one to be discarded for the same reason. In fact, I myself asked the Captain for help because I didn't know if a reviewed work was a standalone volume or a series. A different discussion applies to television reviews. Since its inception (with the review, by the same G, of a single episode of Matrix), the section was intended to be dedicated to reviews of individual television events. So we are talking about two distinct things.

But I’ll say it from the very first comment: Debasio is, first and foremost, its users. I repeat: practically all the content on the site is created by the users (editorials, reviews, comments, news, samples, images, definitions...). Moreover, it's worth noting that the editors are not responsible for structural or graphic changes. That’s the job of the webmasters who are the true owners of the site. By the way, since I've been here, the site has always gone through ups and downs, which is inevitable. In November 2009, for example, there was a very, very good period: I don't remember how many new users signed up, some really great reviewers (the first one that comes to mind is Dopesmoker), there were some welcome comebacks (pier paolo farina, ez, antmo, lukin, caz, Socrates, Odradek), other users confirmed themselves as excellent reviewers (JURIX, for instance, who delivered a remarkable positive series), there were some graphic and structural changes that I consider positive (the artist images, the comments on editorials), on the main page there were constantly 10 DeMeetings organized by users, and there were some hilarious pages (like the review of Mario Biondi with the return of Mariaelena). I repeat: November 2009. If the problem is the new homepage... alas, I guess we just have to make do and accept it! :)

No confessional!! :DD I was waiting for Enea's post-match statements! I wonder why we haven't heard from him for a while. For about 11 matchdays... or was it 12?!

If I'm not mistaken, there's such a drippy review of Be Maledetto Now! on Rummore that the pages got stuck together... now I'm curious! The review is good as usual. I'll pass on the proposal! :)

The tiles were stopped at customs. But we have the pins, the kind to put on denim vests like true medal holders! :)

@Alexander: nooooo! Not irritate... it’s just that geenoo sent us his first review and, guess what, he copied it straight from Word. So we have to throw it away! :DD

"All this junk used to be tossed out without a moment's hesitation." Once upon a time?!? And when?!? When we were publishing the reviews of Korn?! Or those of Cuntgrinder?! Or those of Birbabirba?! Or those of shit on the Golia Bianca?! And back then, there weren't even the DeCasi. It was home page. Period. "This is just the opinion of a poor internet traveler." I told you before: take a stroll through the playlist; you'll find other internet travelers who don't think like you. So we're back to square one.

@Geenoo: "Fuck: chop them up without mercy!" Ehnnno, my dear!! It's too easy to dump the crap on the editors to avoid getting your hands dirty. Just take a look at the Playlist from the last few days: you'll find dozens of messages from people wanting reviews of "Creative," the illiterate. The same thing happened with the FieroGrind reviews. The moral of the story: if we publish everything, it's not good because we become responsible for the site's decline. If we don't publish everything, we're fascists and censors. In both cases, there would be people ready to complain and blame us. The solution is only one: a more responsible engagement with the site from EVERYONE. Which also means seeking out capable reviewers, even if they don't talk about genres that are aligned with us, and rewarding them with votes and comments. And, of course, ignoring the crap. Or keep complaining.

It was better for me too with the two columns! Especially because back then the conversations were like this: "Why wasn't this review selected?!? Damn editors! This site is going to hell!"
