First Band From Outer Space The Guitar is Mightier Than the Gun

Damn, are you saying it's always them?!? I remembered a shorter name, just one word... maybe it's exactly what you said, the other album I heard! Tonight I'll check: if it's them, then I liked that one more. And they would have been better off continuing to sing in Swedish! :)

“(...) they are serious about this” to be honest, they care a lot about looking as stupid as possible. I mean, they play decently, but they really make me cringe... I listened to this once and one of their previous ones a couple of times: the sound of the guitars is a bit light and the singing is quite unbearable. At this point, I prefer those other guys who sing in Swedish (I can't remember their name right now) who at least daze you with all these words full of consonants, and you try to make sense of it. Even the reference to Hawkwind seems a bit off to me: the Hawkwind were the masters of 4/4 at all costs, they made heavy hard rock and stretched it out for half an hour, stuffed with space effects. These guys, in comparison, sound like a prog band: they use a lot of breaks, time changes, clean sounds, etc., etc. Much more in the Hawkwind style are the Litmus that the super Doctor mentioned.

The whole scene of "You are not a horse" is worth a dozen movies on its own... "We are not the GPU, we are not the SS. We are the police of a democratic country."

Interesting. However, from the comments, it really seems "heavy"... mmm...

Around the age of 12-13, I went to see a movie with Macaulay Culkin (the one from Home Alone): he was an apparently normal child who actually hid a congenital bratiness at pathological levels. Stuff that caused car accidents, tortured animals... but he always managed to get away with it because everyone thought he was a good kid. The title, if I remember correctly, was something like "The Devil's Shadow" and I'm afraid it was loosely inspired by the childhood of a friend of mine who used to go around hanging wire at eye level in the countryside roads. Twenty years have passed and they can’t even come up with original titles.

I join the compliments for the review. From a very quick listen, I would say they are just not my cup of tea: a bit too "messed up" for my tastes... On the other hand, the cover is (almost) superbabà: maybe I wouldn’t have added the red star (of Belgrade), but the little wolf is really cute.

I really enjoy reviews of classical music albums. Maybe even more than those of the music I listen to. I find them more "inspired" and more intimate at the same time. It's a shame that I hate classical music... :))) Well done, Cab!

Here, I more or less feel like quoting Skele. I mean: that there are hidden powers behind certain stories, I’d say that's something we all suspect a bit. But this thing (as Gabri called it) about the "Freemasonry of Freemasonries" smells a little fishy to me. By the way: what kind of Freemasonry of Freemasonries is one that can't get rid of a writer?! I mean: they can instigate Watergate and they end up offering money to Estulin to keep him quiet?! Put like that, it’s a bit laughable. Anyway, the tip-off is truly delicious: you’ve piqued my curiosity quite a bit!
