My comment was aimed more at the "internal" aspect of the discussion rather than a potential comparison between the two cinemas. The phrase "Italian cinema doesn’t speak to me" is an idiocy more for its form than for its content. And it can't even be said that it's a matter of "taste." What is Italian cinema? Is it De Sica (not Christian), Rossellini, Visconti, Leone, Bava (not the one from the last 20 years or so), Sorrentino (the first "young" Italian that came to mind), or Muccino (who, by the way, isn’t technically bad), Moccia (director), Lucini, and the Vanzina brothers?! You can’t throw everything into a big pot and indiscriminately say "I don’t like this." Because otherwise, we end up wandering into the realm of "Milanese work hard" and "Genoese are stingy." That's all.

It's funny how we speak of "French cinema" and "Italian cinema" as if they were distinct and shapeless entities, devoid of classifications, movements, and nuances within them. It's like putting Leone and Muccino, Truffaut and Aja on the same level… I mean, put like that, we're well below bar chatter.

Dear Fabia, next time pay more attention to your writings, dedicate yourself to them with more commitment (it's also a matter of respect towards other users), proofread them several times before sending them, and you'll see that even typos, misplaced commas, and, why not, repetitions will magically disappear! I tell you: do not look at the typo that is in your editor's eye, but the Saxon genitive that is in yours! Or write to ParlaConBartolo.

I mean... I'm giving you an amazing setup, you take TWO DAYS to come up with at least a decent reply, and the best you can come up with is a joke from Bagaglino?! Were you not a professional cartoonist?!? Did they demote you to obituary ads?!

By the way, J-Ax is the one who sings in Deca Dance, among other things: "I dance this Deca dance And I carry the best things inside me I am Bruno Sacchi wearing Moncler I am the songs of 883"... so, still regarding the nostalgic issue yes - nostalgic no.

Come on! Peter Pan, the rascal of nostalgia: let’s not beat around the bush! We got it: basically all his recent discography is in a constant attempt to answer the question already posed by Raf at Sanremo '89, "What will remain of these '80s?" I’ll leave you with a song by Slayer: "Chi ha avuto, ha avuto, ha avuto, chi ha dato, ha dato, ha dato, scurdámmoce 'o ppassato, simmo 'e Napule paisá!" Uè!
