They'll be playing around my area in a few weeks. If it's still happening by then, I plan to go. I have the utmost respect for them, but to be honest, they bore me so much that they need a phone call from Palazzo Chigi to get me out of my pants.

At this point, I’ll definitely give Weedeater another listen! :) As for Dragonauta: just today I listened to Cruz Invertida a couple of times and I really liked it. It felt less dark and metal than Cabramacabra, but it seems they've gained in groove and songwriting. By the way, I prefer El Topo to the previous singer, so the math is pretty simple. If you don’t know them already (if not, forget I said it), I recommend Sourvein. For a while, Liz from Electric Wizard played with them, along with other people from Buzzov*en. Their Will To Mangle is a killer album!

As luck would have it, right now I'm listening to "Visions for the Celestial" by Datura, a psycho-stoner band from the nineties that I believe has broken up by now. On Lastfm, they have tags like Brutal Death Metal - Death Metal - Stoner Rock - Dance - Trance. Similar artists include Molella and Da Blitz. Their biography is that of the homonymous and very Italian techno group from the early '90s. Ahhh, who can you trust with folksonomy! :)

Holy Mary, what an opening. A bit "demanding," at least! :) I admit I know little about the Italian scene you're talking about, but I’ll listen to this little covenant of yours. Good as always, memento.

Poems! Not interviews! Well, we got it.

I always really enjoy the interviews about Debasio. I don't know. They make me feel like I'm on one of those important sites with interviews. Of course, the story about commissioned interviews is spine-chilling...

I don't know the book. The review is nice.

Well! To be honest, they remind me a lot more of about twenty other bands, but I wouldn't want the excellent Psychopatia to have smashed its head against the wall for nothing! :D I listened to a Weedeater album about a year ago (I don't remember the name, I think it had a brown cover and something like God in the title) and I liked it, but it didn't blow me away. However, if you tell me the latest one is really beautiful, I think I'll give it a listen! I'm also curious to hear Cough and the latest from Dragonauta in the doom & affiliates scene... I repeat: 4 lives, 7 ears, 8 salaries or die! :)

mmm... to be honest, your argument doesn't hold up that well. I mean, you've built the entire review on the idea that this is an album without the "bullshit" and "stereotypes" typical of a sludge record. So it's not just a matter of labels that can be dug up on Lastfm, but of content... I mean, at this point, I'd be inclined to ask you what you mean by slagg, but I don't think that's really essential. For me, you can call this genre Giuseppe.
