"a strange feminine figure who self-induces a glittering blue vomit and directs it towards Miss Germanotta. Scandalous, isn't it? And then: GaGa devouring a bleeding heart (surely a reference to the phrase He ate my heart from the song Monster, ed.), GaGa, as if she were a statue, altered and wrapped by a curious little man...". This paragraph made me feel emotions I never thought I would experience again since they stopped putting antifreeze in the wine.

@Psycho: hey dear! Meanwhile, I take the opportunity to point out - aumma aumma - something about the new American Christmas (http://www.mediafire.com/?4zr8b1yjuedqyv1). 2010 has been a year of many comebacks (have you seen that there's a review of the new Dungen on the page? I didn't even know it had been released!), but I would say there have been few truly remarkable albums. Months later, however, I'm still happily listening to Voices of the Seven Thunders and the latest Brian Jonestown. The new Titan definitely delights a retro fan like myself, but I fear you preferred them a couple of albums ago. The same goes for the new La Otracina, which sounds like a tech-thrash album from the '80s! :) I'm still missing the new Monster Magnet, the Tame Impala (which you reviewed, if I remember correctly), and the new Boris... let's say, in general, it’s been a year more about quantity than quality! :)

But at least the brawls in Parliament are entertaining. Here, boredom set in after the third comment! At this point, let's try to reach 200; at least we can give some meaning to all this waste of bytes! :)

But let’s not waste money on the analyst! The diagnosis is ready: "The patient is the link between Neanderthal man and the chamber pot."

10 to 1 that pretty soon the fake in fishnet stockings will pop up and it will all start over again. Better stock up on Pocket Coffee before being hit by an attack of lethargy.

...so you would like us to believe that you have learned to count to 3. Well! Frankly, I doubt it. Let’s see.

@Greg: my "It has little to do with the reviewed work..." referred to my comment and the consideration contained in it, not to the quote included in the review! Congratulations also on your comments. :)

It has little to do with the reviewed work and its author, but the final italicized part reminded me of an old article by Baricco, in which he spoke— with a hint of disbelief— of the "legend" that a good part of Carver's style can be attributed to the corrections-revisions made by the editor (I no longer remember the name) on the writer's stories. I've always found it strange the admiration that connects Baricco, one of the most word-loving Italian writers I've read, to Carver, who instead made "the unsaid, but nonetheless said" his strength. Perhaps because we admire what we cannot reach, I don't know. Excellent page. Truly, congratulations. Well done.
