5 even just for the choice of the nickname, which shows excellent taste and elegance in dressing. Welcome.

But every time I see him, I just feel like amputating his feet and using them to kick him in the ass?!?

Back then, Francescobus, ocram, and I thought about reviewing this album together, just like we did for the first Forbidden, but unfortunately, nothing ever came of it. What a shame. It would be really nice if they decided to stop by for a comment! :) It's a very interesting album, yet in my opinion, not worthy of 5 stars: the great variety here certainly represents an advantage, but also a weakness. It’s an album that embraces a multitude of ideas, so many elements (speed, melody, aggression, technique) without ever pushing them to excess. Yet in some passages, there are a few forced moments, and not all the songs are incredibly successful. In any case, great retrieval!

I ran out of my dose of manga & various Japanese stuff a long time ago, back in my peak nerdiness days without any luck with women. Sometimes I almost (very almost) feel sorry about it, because I realize there’s a lot of fun stuff out there: just these days, for example, I’m watching the early seasons of Bleach and I’m finding them quite entertaining. From this, I checked out a couple of episodes of the series that was aired on MTV, and I must say I wasn't particularly impressed...

Angels in America is a miniseries for TV and it's a (half) masterpiece. I saw it back during its first airing on Italian networks, and it seemed to me like a colossal mess: what I had really liked about the novel was King’s ability to create a more or less believable microcosm, with its own history, its own laws, and a multitude of characters I had come to care about. Here, it’s overly simplified, in some ways trivialized, and thus it ends up undermining that "itiano" epic which, in my opinion, made the novel great. Then again, who knows, it’s been 20 years; maybe I’m remembering it wrong.

If you listen to Scegli me backwards, you can distinctly hear my drunken uncle's speech at the restaurant on the day of my confirmation.

The review is a bit so-so: the entire introduction about the success of the bands was unnecessary and, in any case, suffers from some inaccuracies (Running Wild, just to name one example, were hugely popular in the '80s), the rest does not do justice to what I believe is one of the most underrated albums of the German scene in the '80s. In my opinion, it represents the perfect balance between aggression, technique, and melody. The riffing is incredibly tight, but there are some forays into more catchy heavy music that make it more varied and less one-dimensional, unlike most of the works from that period. Just listen to the closing track Beyond the Light and its spoken part. The subsequent Deception Ignored - as I wrote years ago in an old review - is a great album, but it was practically repudiated by the band itself for being too convoluted, too focused on the continuous pursuit of technique for its own sake. Better this one: among my top 10 favorite thrash metal albums of all time.

Booo!!!! Here comes the well-worn technique of delegitimizing the interlocutor with childish jabs and mockery, and accusations of excessive seriousness! Booo! Enè, that's old news now, it doesn't work anymore! Rather, lay down your arms and kneel before the undeniable supremacy and omniscience of Untilted!

Proprio Go and live was my second review on this site, quite a few years ago now. Really good at bringing this definitely worthwhile band and this album back to life. Well done!
