Of Benni's most recent work, I believe it's the last one I've read. It didn't blow me away: at too many points it seems to lose the thread of the narrative, here and there there are some clichés (Madonna's rhyme), and the ending felt a bit disappointing to me. Moreover, you didn't even remotely hint at the only important thing in the book: all of Margherita's paranoias turn out to be totally normal things, almost suggesting that "normality" is enough to... well, you get what I mean. The review is crap: there's no point in continuing to read if you can't even string together two concepts in a language that doesn't sound like that of a bunch of gibbons. I remember the 5th floor! They used to air it on Sundays at noon in the mid-'80s: I remember it fondly because it saved me from the news during those endless Sunday lunches. Among other things, I noticed it has the same soundtrack as Don Tonino, an epic police TV series from the mid-'80s starring Gigi and Andrea, truly a blast. However, we're talking about '80s products, which seem ridiculous to us today regardless. The worst thing ever seen, the true nadir of Italian serial TV remains "Via Zanardi 33," a clumsy attempt by Mediaset to propose a kind of "Friends" Italian-style, riding the wave of the original series' success (https://www.debaser.it/main/Video.aspx?y=3lf-C536GiM).

@Alex: well, just because something lacks a shred of realism doesn’t mean it’s necessarily nonsense. If that were the case, one should only watch National Geographic (and The Shield, I gather). The early seasons of Lost (or at least the first one) are universally (and in my opinion, rightly) regarded as an excellent television product. Why do you say it’s nonsense?

For a while, I was also on the hunt for my "OWN" series. And every time I thought I had found it, those annoying Americans would decide to mess it all up with ridiculous plot twists to stretch it out to the point of exhausting the viewer. The first two seasons of Lost were exceptional, then it became a drag. The first season of Dexter was pretty good, then it turned into a caricature. Even my favorite series (Gilmore Girls) became embarrassing for the actors and the viewers starting from the third season. For now, Boris is holding up: let's just hope that success doesn’t lead the authors to make the same mistakes as their star-spangled buddies.

No way... it was just to make a bit of noise while waiting for my pizza to arrive! I've already popped open the Moretti. We'll talk about it tomorrow. Happy Easter everyone!
