I remember them: I had lent an ear to this record after reading a positive review on one of the blogs I follow (soundwave). An interesting band, perhaps not eyebrow-raising, but they deserve a listen. Unfortunately, I've been a bit tired of these retro rock sounds lately. Even the new Graveyard, while seeming like a good album to me, with some truly noteworthy tracks, lasted in the stereo just a couple of weeks. Great review.

"managing to detach itself from tradition"?!? What tradition?! Look, this record IS the tradition.

I've been listening to it quite a bit these days: great album. One of those albums where the imperfections only add to the charm. Thank you so much for introducing me to it.

I propose a debaseriota prayer group to convince Our Lord to grant Fabietta the gift of synthesis. The meeting is every morning (uò-uò) at 07:30 in chat. Father Fiero Grind will officiate. Lexus will serve as altar boy.

In my senior year of high school, I had a teacher of religion who was a priest as crazy as a horse. Truly an idiot. At the end of the year, we invited him to eat pizza with us: he called us Pharisees, accusing us of trying to win him over in light of the upcoming exams (I seem to recall he even blurted out a "I will not be corrupted!"). I, who was already a fervent disciple of the Hokuto-Slayer school back then, kept all these things in my black heart, made satanic gestures under the desk, and looked forward to the moment when I would devour an anchovy and pepper pizza with buffalo mozzarella right in front of him. \m/

I also have very fond memories of some teachers. Even some from middle school. And they aren't necessarily the ones who were the most friendly or who let us make a ruckus. Perhaps the beauty was precisely when seemingly irreproachable characters, who were all of a piece, would let slip a bit of intimacy, revealing that human side they wanted so much to keep hidden. A beautiful page: personal, but that doesn't forget to talk about the film. And a great film, indeed, even though I watched it more than 10 years ago. Thanks to Madcat for reminding me that I’ve never seen the end of Auguri Professore! :)
Robert Rodriguez Machete

Instead, Rodriguez doesn’t exactly thrill me. The much-revered Mariachi-Desperado duo left me quite indifferent (and it's not a matter of poor production, but rather the way the ideas were utilized). Once Upon a Time in Mexico seemed a bit of a mess to me (the best part in the end was the poster). The Faculty is barely more than a teen movie from "Adventure Night on Italia 1." Spy Kids 1 and 2 are, let’s say, a diversion and we won't even talk about them. He’s done something good: From Dusk Till Dawn is really nice, I liked Sin City, and Planet Terror made me laugh more than a couple of times. But it seems a bit scant to fully justify the legendary aura he now carries...

A long, long time ago, I listened to one of their albums (red cover, I think): from what I recall, yet another recycling of the power soup from the second half of the '90s. Now I read that, since then, they have made a name for themselves - for better or worse. But, above all, that they have tried to vary their sound a bit with nothing less than a horror concept on Lovecraft! Kudos for the originality! :D You, on the other hand, always do well.

The page is excellent: I read it with great pleasure. The proposal... mmm... I don't know. At first, the Byrds + VU idea delighted me. But then, between "latte e miele" and "daydream," I hit a serious brake. I think this time I'll pass, Pret! :)
