I didn't know that they and other representatives of retro rock had received harsh criticism from the reviews. In fact, I remember well that, back in the day, the Orebro cauldron had been fairly supported in Rumore. By the way, they sell a ton in their homeland, so you know they don’t care about the critics... In any case: it’s a good album. From a purely compositional standpoint, it’s even better than the debut: more refined in the arrangements, more bluesy in the sound. You can sense a greater awareness of their abilities. What’s missing, compared to the previous one, is perhaps a bit of instinct, of magic, of freshness and that basement smell. The feeling is that of a slightly less spontaneous record, more constructed, more thought-out.

I’ve been listening to it these days, but it’s not completely convincing me. There are some nice riffs and beautiful atmospheres. There's a bit too much of a clumsy drum that has some sounds that are just okay. There’s a voice that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t, and the vocal lines aren’t always effective. I really like the feelings that arise while listening, that mix of despair, anger, and melancholy. What’s missing, perhaps, are especially the songs in the strict sense. For now, it’s a good album, but not much more.

And this is all you need to know about the '80s, about black people, about fashion, and about music:

Nothing, this morning my connection is more than just intermittent; it's really gone to hell. I can't even load the YouTube homepage, let alone upload videos. I couldn't make sense of any of the links you posted! In these conditions, it's impossible to work!!! See you in the afternoon...

Here, all that stuff I didn’t know. Also, usually when I see pants that are more than one size too big for the occasion, I start to feel an annoying intimate itch. Often, the same effect is caused by tracksuits made of domopak worn in August on a sunny day (https://www.debaser.it/main/Video.aspx?y=VAWjsVoDpm0). Frankly, I don't recall a music genre in which musicians dressed worse than nu-metalers. In comparison, those black metal idiots from Norway, made up like sulky clowns in black and white, were designer-clad in Armani. One thing I will never forgive nu metal for is the digit-evolution/degeneration into the emo version of headbanging, with hands on the groin, feet together, and the trunk bobbing like a bell for bulls. In just a few years, an entire decade of style, taste, and metal elegance was erased... mala tempora...

The paragraph “Therefore, having never really conformed excessively to the fashions of the time, to claim that the present 'Gold Cobra' is an album 'in the style of Limp Bizkit' is, in these times, a small satisfaction—no to cool outfits, no to questionable haircuts, no to 'effeminate' covers and no to frivolous tracks shrewdly passed off as the 'change that has always been desired'—I just didn't get it. I mean, not only in terms of content but also grammatically... Let’s clarify this: they became extremely famous with a cover of a George Michael song, with a handful of super-hyped hits, related super-fun videos in ultra-loop on MTV, and the soundtrack of Mission Impossible. That’s it. Speaking of substance—except for that of Durnst's waistline—there was really very little. To say, Korn, while equally enslaved by the logics of fashion and the market, were musically on a couple of other planets.”

Berlusconism tests of geenoo: first he offends, attacks, plays the card of discrediting the opponent, of personal insults. Then he withdraws his hand, trying in vain to shift the blame onto a trivial typo. I'm sorry geenoo, but the majority of Italians have now understood who you really are!

During yet another sleepless night due to this blanket, I've come to the conclusion that that big face may have been inspired, in addition to being inspired by Mago Pancione, as Nes rightly pointed out, also by the Black Hole Sun video by Soundgarden (or vice versa, not knowing the release year of this album). There you go.

Rilli ambelivabol, just like in this case, you fall into a helmet of bananas. The comment I left on the Halloween review, I’ll bring it back so I can vent a little: "This thing about subjectivity is becoming more and more the facade behind which to justify every nonsense. And heaven forbid you point it out, because then you come off as a know-it-all. With this story of relativism at all costs, it will end up that someone sooner or later will come to tell me that my grandma is just as hot as Megan Fox. And despite the fact that it’s obvious to everyone that my grandma is way, way hotter than Megan Fox."
