Children's film. Watched by mistake, and only because it was in the original language.

Well. I think that you, in love with the idea that the film is yet another "allegory of nostalgia for a mythical 'State of nature'," have ultimately fallen into naivety and built your entire review around it. But I find that, shall we say, you have gone off topic. Because, if we really must, I see more "a female and feminist version of Frankenstein," as someone wrote in a comment earlier. While the nostalgia you talk about, devoid of any naivety, seems to me to be more present in Dogtooth.

Splendid. I happened to see Dogtooth in a cinema in Trieste. I brought two people who since then prefer not to talk about films with me anymore. As for me, I haven't missed anything of his since then. He's almost too good.

The other day I listened to the latest (audiobook) by Cognetti (Giù nella valle). I didn't like the book, but - and perhaps this makes it recommendable for fans of the album - in the end, in an afterword, he extensively quotes the Boss and in particular Nebraska, an album that I actually liked back then. Furthermore, I also traveled through Nebraska at the time: a state that, in terms of ugliness, is second only to Kansas, I must say.

Great movie. Maybe having a few less celebrities among the actors would have been beneficial, but oh well.
