I am also disappointed by all those I consider very capable who gave this review a 5. You have let me down quite a bit and profoundly. Very disappointed.

What the hell are you doing? What the hell are you up to? Are you even paying attention? Copying the translation of the text from some website (http://www.loureed.it/traduzioni/withnico.html what do you think, I’m a member of the fan club…) and then slapping it down as a review seems pretty unqualified to me. The worst review I’ve read since I’ve been following you. This album didn’t deserve such a pointless description. I could tell you a million anecdotes, weird things that happened during the recording, fights, innovative choices regarding the mixing and the instruments used. And what do you do instead? JACK SHIT, that’s what you do! Leave certain albums alone if you can’t handle it. LEAVE THEM ALONE! To review an album like this, you need to think about it for at least a little while; you can’t just randomly copy some lyrics from a song to boost the number of reviews and make yourself look good! Wasn’t it you who wrote that you’re a philosopher? (http://www.de-baser.com/recensionidb/ID_1509/Celine_Dion_One_Heart.htm) So try to take life with a bit of philosophy, while I harshly, albeit philosophically, advise you to retreat into meditation to understand the foolishness you’ve committed, disrespecting the Velvet Underground. Someone who writes "according to me Nico has a role" means they still have too much to discover and learn before reviewing an album like this. But forget it. SHAME!!! Educate yourself a bit and then try to review it again, maybe in a year and after another ten thousand listens. SHAME!!!!!

De-Baser was my only saving work. Mr_Iko says he is the best. I think I should express what I feel. I could write anything, since you don't understand a damn thing!!!! :-D

I conclude, in open polemic against the anarchists of the site, by quoting Oscar Wilde: "There are three kinds of despots. The despot who tyrannizes the body, the despot who tyrannizes the soul, and the one who tyrannizes both soul and body. The first is called prince. The second is called pope. The third is called people." I am very much aware that at least half of the regular users will not understand the profound value of these words. "Even if you tell me that morality is to accept the status quo, I reiterate that for me, the man who accepts the rules as they are is absolutely immoral" (still Oscar Wilde, though I don’t remember it exactly by heart).

Okay, let's eliminate the preliminary judgment of manifest uselessness (even though, I repeat, it was based on "manifest" uselessness, meaning obvious deficiency compared to the previous review and not on a value judgment). I would like to point out that I am not interested in making the navigation of the site more understandable and smooth for regular users, because they already have the necessary experience and have understood the "rules of the game." Right now, I care about those who are visiting de-baser for the first time, because (like I did a couple of years ago when searching for information on Jack Johnson) they may have simply typed "review the bands," and today they find five, tomorrow twelve, and next month thirty-two. I don't know if this will help them or not. Perhaps I should not care. But come on, let’s do this: let’s not care, because I’ve understood that except for you, everyone here couldn’t care less and that suits them just fine. If it’s fine with you, it’s definitely fine with me. I will carry on my personal crusade against "copy-paste" reviews by hurling abuses at the unfortunate reviewer. And here, no one will be able to stop me :-D!!! Down with carbon copy reviews! Long live independence of thought.

You see, marcmat, as I suggested in the comments on your review of debends (I emphasize "YOUR" quite polemically because I believe there are 17 others floating around on this site's pages), I much prefer this review to that other one about Radiohead, even though this one is written with less passion. Let me explain: the writing style is undoubtedly better in the other one, but this one is NEW, and I missed it (October I'm quite familiar with, I must say), while the other is self-evident, predictable, and already read. Although the other review is more lively, I appreciate the innovative character of this one more, even at the expense of the literary style, which is certainly superior in the other. But why, instead of an unnecessary new review on debends, didn't you add your writing as a comment? Everyone would have certainly appreciated it more. Then, you see, I'm not anyone's teacher, quite the opposite; I need lessons every day.

Marcmat is the king of ellipses! He abuses ellipses seven times for a total of twenty-one dots! Be careful, you'll run out of supplies for the winter, then how will you cope without them?

De-Baser was a work saved by one. Mr_Iko says he is the best. I think it's mine to express what I feel.

Anyone who is elected for this purpose. With the appointment, they will acquire formal powers of judgment, legitimization for limitation. But beware: multiple reviews are published just the same; let’s not confuse this with mere censorship... they are just a little bit less "visible."
