You can't (in the sense of "you shouldn't, even if hypothetically possible") criticize Nirvana by arguing that "they haven't given anything musically" simply because... it's a monstrous load of nonsense that makes you look ridiculous. Forget about Nirvana, come on...

G reggae is boring because... it bores me, that is. There isn't always a necessary deep explanation that connects to the attempts to answer existential questions. I don't like it, plain and simple, even though I have "forced" myself to listen to it. I've listened to Marley, Cliff, Tosh, etc. numerous times. It's a matter of feeling. Not in a skin-deep sense, it's just that they really get on my nerves! (lino banfi). For me, reggae is a rhythm to be used for a song, a chorus, a variation. An album based on reggae bores me halfway through the first song. Maybe it's because I've always hated afro-gatherings? Who knows? Maybe it's because rasta dreadheads feel a bit unclean to me? Who knows? Maybe it's because after listening to how the Clash and the Police used it, everything else seems childish? Who knows? I don’t know the reason, what I do know is that there isn't a reggae record in my house. Maybe I'm missing out on something, but I don't feel its absence. That's all, full stop, new paragraph.

Ask the Clash if it's true that Jamaicans are so good and tolerant... ask them why they had to run away from Jamaica...

Reggae is boring, but the socio-cultural implications that arise from it are another matter. Reggae brings joy because the stereotype of the Jamaican is that of a good, playful, non-belligerent, and smiling man. But reggae is and remains very repetitive and boring music. Sorry, that is.

The "A Perfect Circle" are unbelievably mind-blowing. But they're a damn nuisance to me, too.

Wyatt's best is "Shleep." The best of the soft machine... all of them, from first to fifth.
