Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here

I imagine you weren’t just referring to the album. At Abbey Road, you can BREATHE music. That was the Beatles' recording studio. So, almost everything was there.

maybe I’ve even been to Abbey Road... maybe I’ve even crossed the street barefoot like PMcC!

I mean, if you ask me the question "does Abbey Road remind you of anything?" I feel like I'm being pulled leg. You know. Peace!

A piece of advice, dear Charles: when writing a review, always keep in mind that you are speaking to a diverse audience. To a novice, you can present a review like this, but to the expert musical listener, this review might come across as ridiculous. Let me elaborate: I’m not saying that this review is wrong; I’m just saying that it may not be interesting to those who are already familiar with this album and were hoping to find some nice information, anecdotes, something along those lines. Or perhaps a well-structured and heartfelt description of your state of mind when listening to this record. Because there’s a huge difference between reviewing "Bright Light Size" (which is also twenty years old) known by 10% of the visitors to this site, and reviewing "Ziggy Stardust," known by 90%... I hope I’ve made myself clear; I wouldn’t want to be misunderstood.

Aaahhh... Great album, great band. They and the Jefferson Airplane are the true knights of lysergic acid. The real psychedelia! "...Psychedelia, you take the acid and then you're acid... Psychedelia, you do the bases and then you're basic... but what beautiful colors and the smell of flowers, how lovely!..."

Francesco, thank you for having read it. Whether you liked it or not is, in my opinion, irrelevant. What is, instead, OBLIGATORY pertains to the dissemination of musical "knowledge." I align myself with the tone of your comment, as simple as it is clear and reasonable: "good music (not necessarily jazz or rock or metal or any of that) never gets old." Thank you again.

So this is one of the essential albums in anyone's CD collection. Definitively must have! The anonymous guy who threw "shit" on this album doesn't understand a damn thing because he thinks it's death metal music. But he's totally wrong, because AS USUAL, the distinction into genres only serves to degenerate into prejudices and misconceptions (here zzzzzzzzzzzz it slaps me, I already know :-)). But "the bassist" rightly points out that this is an album in which the present contaminations make it impossible to relate it to a "genre" without naming at least 5. Those who understand music, the "good" music, as I usually remind, surely know that this is an album that's really something. excuse the vulgarity. This album is art. It's innovation. It's courage. This album plays melodies that you can't even dream of. If you ever find yourself believing in my words, get it. If you're not completely close-minded, you will like it. Sure.
