Judas Priest Sad Wings of Destiny
Voto:
If I'm not mistaken, the term "heavy metal" was coined by a journalist who, after attending a concert by Blue Oyster Cult, said they were as heavy as metal.
Queensrÿche Queensrÿche EP
Voto:
I don't understand your ongoing comparison with Iron Maiden. It seems to me that this is a review of Queensrÿche, not a personal attack on the Irons...
Shadow Gallery Shadow Gallery
Voto:
A memorable album, probably the best in Shadow Gallery's discography, which after Carved in Stone, will inevitably fall into the vicious circle of repetitiveness.
Hammerfall Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken
Voto:
I can't tell if yours is a review or a third-grade essay...
The Darkness One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back
Voto:
Well, I think the Darkness phenomenon has always been either overrated or underrated. The band is decent, around a 6 - 6.5, however, the extremes in both positive and negative senses seem excessively exaggerated.
Stratovarius Stratovarius
Voto:
Damn... and you give a 4/5 to an album that deserves to be rejected?
Frank Zappa Roxy & Elsewhere
Voto:
Naturally unmissable, just like for any other work by Zappa...
Shawn Lane Powers Of Ten
Voto:
Lane is just as good, believe me. Listen to Personae with Hellborg and Sipe and tell me what jazz/fusion record you've come across.
Shawn Lane Powers Of Ten
Voto:
Excellent review and a fitting tribute to a great and unfortunate artist. Lane, in addition to being a great guitarist, was also a highly skilled pianist, and this likely influenced the particular sensitivity of his compositions. You must also get The Tritone Fascination and Centrifugal Funk, the latter featuring Frank Gambale and Brett Garsed, as well as various albums with Jonas Hellborg, especially the live Personae.
Dream Theater Live al Palalottomatica 31/10/2005

I have the distinct impression that the reviewer wrote this pseudo-review while at the concert, live on the spot.
