Rhapsody Symphony Of Enchanted Lands

Finally, a bit of healthy idiocy that has a lot to do with musical opinions... go ahead, but coming from someone who gives 4 or 5 to the albums of Candlemass, Dark Tranquillity, or Tomahawk, what do you expect...

A great opening prologue that would have suggested a more in-depth commentary......... that never came, still we start like this..

Beautiful review, a reflection of someone who has loved Rhapsody for this album and also for other things that I consider to be of great value...........eternally glorious is not exactly a play on words, but a cacophony; still, well done.

Beautiful review for a highly valuable album by an artist not much appreciated in our country.......not quite in agreement with the consideration of Paolo Limiti as a "musical disinformer" (let's see who takes up this provocation)...

Dear Grassopher, I finally had the time to read your review, beautiful and fitting just like all your comments I've read so far... don't tell me you've started reviewing MK again because then you'll take the bread out of my mouth; I don't mind doing duplicates anyway, just keep introducing good music to that segment of ignorants who judge Knopfler&Co. WITHOUT EVER HAVING LISTENED TO THE ALBUMS!!!

Decent review for a fair album, but you forgot to include the score. I have a feeling you were listening to the Hellacopters while you wrote this...;-)

Dear Attilio, I just want to say one thing: to appreciate the virtuosity of an artist, you don't have to be "necessarily" a technician in the field. Furthermore, the distinction you make between alternative fans and extremist fans (to which I can assure you I don't belong) is the exaltation of belonging to an obvious side and having a conformist attitude: YOU'RE WRONG ON A GRAND SCALE. Given your young age, you probably haven't had the opportunity to verify that the Dire Straits, who emerged during the full Punk era (initially termed alternative), were also featured in press and television columns that were in turn called alternative (I know you might not remember, as you might not have even been in first grade yet ;-)). Then, technically skilled instrumentalists like Soundgarden (great!!) were also defined as alternative, and they had the chance to make their music very accessible before it was consumed within a couple of years... just like the incredibly talented Nirvana did in a much shorter time (you should have mentioned them regarding the product to be fed to the market, which devoured them quite well). Well, I think these two bands, which are just simple examples, had plenty of passionate outbursts, even more than those you mentioned (who knows if in their country bandanas are sold or if they received the satellite signal to watch Live Aid)... as you can see, giving opportunities to certain bands (in many aspects ADMIRABLE) has meant denying the opportunity to other artists who perhaps today could have still had something to say. Best regards, and see you next time...
P.S.: Terms like imperialists and similar stupidity, let's leave them to the No Globals, to newspapers like "Manifesto," and to politicians of certain factions.

Unfortunately, your problem - dear joey, johnnyteardrop, and joeboy with a strong sense of superiority - is that you want to uphold ideas that are neither coherent nor grounded but are the result of twisted reasoning attempting to prove a non-existent reality likely triggered by your early adolescent itches (....don't tell me that all three of you combined have an age over 40, or I'll burst out laughing.....).
To testify this, there’s your use of anonymity (a classic childish behavior) and the "not revealing yourselves" by mentioning the names of these groups - the underrated heroes among us mediocre (?) and their masterpieces - albums that surely find distribution through so-called student word of mouth - which your ears could benefit from. Remember, dear boys, and don’t take it the wrong way that your "little heroes" will remain such, as is the case in other fields (in fact, even in literature, theater, and painting, we find less popular representatives who are still capable of conveying something but haven't achieved mainstream success) not because they are incapable of transmitting those emotions that we lovers of mature music (as one of you stated) find in subjects who have hit the mark or have been able to express themselves in a universal language. In conclusion, it’s the same difference that exists between someone skilled (perhaps the small representatives of your subculture) and perfection (our great chameleons - Dire Straits - as it happens)....and sorry if that's not enough, goodbye and enjoy your snack.

Thank you to those who appreciated the review! To joeboy: I'm sorry for you, but you represent a grain of sand in the Sahara desert when you say that Dire Straits lack creativity and that the band is just echoing itself. You are absolutely not objective, especially since it wasn't me who crowned Dire Straits among the best bands in the history of rock, but other people who count more than you and me put together: "THE REST OF THE PEOPLE WHO BUY RECORDS" (I won't write the figure because I saw you struggling to quote it...;-) and also at the end of the review, no final seal was placed; the fact that they've sold many copies is simply a statement of fact that finds a lot of people thinking in a certain way. Moreover, if you're looking for nastiness from the D.S., it seems to me you're better off looking for it somewhere else, maybe from the punk (pointless)/new wave (a bit more useful but where technique is sorely lacking).
To the friend who (deliberately!!) omitted to sign their name (at least joeboy had the courage to do so, given that in this space we exchange opinions and not insults...), regarding the claim that those who buy records are slaves to the media and clichés, I prefer not to respond, to prove that indifference is the best (or worst?) contempt.
