It's never easy to tackle an analysis of an U2 album, especially since one often encounters the inevitable division between traditionalists sympathetic to the early era (“Boy-Rattle and Hum”) and modernists (“Achtung Baby-today”). Personally, I've always loved what was produced in the '80s and somewhat appreciated what was released in the two following decades. What can I say... U2 certainly had the ability to bring a breath of fresh air in the first ten years of their career for those yearning for the next big thing, while since the turn of the millennium (I humbly believe) they've added a lovely touch of novelty to a sound whose mere reproduction could easily come across as a pointless copy-paste of its golden period.

I had the opportunity to listen to this brilliant singer-songwriter at the time of her debut release. Clear and tasteful, just like the review above.

The album in question seems to have everyone in agreement and certainly for Jim Kerr's band, it has represented a pivotal moment in a career that still continues today with noteworthy works.

Congratulations Rainbow, great description for an album that's worth (re)listening to, remembering that on a deserted island I would bring a "Love Gun" or a "Destroyer," which would be perfect for a vacation under the sun.
