I have always believed that Pezzali is among the 4 or 5 who have destroyed great Italian music (certainly unknowingly) by becoming protagonists in the "let's empty our brains" project that has been so successful in the last fifteen years...

Guys: this is an official regret. In hindsight, this album is of evident modesty, even if it "sounds" undeniably good (meaning it’s well-produced and written better than other times)... but Pino Daniele (with a capital letter) is something else entirely... kisses

you know… we’re kind of a country where the fashion effect always prevails… Vasco has some characteristics that make him, in Italy, mainstream. Basically two: he’s likable and he speaks as he eats. Then add an ancient musical talent and a very modern cleverness, and the magic formula is ready (at least that’s my analysis… it's more difficult to investigate why San Siro has also been filled by Pausini or to look into the phenomenon of Antonacci… but I think we can get there too, I hope…)

@alberto88: I appreciate your reasoning, even though I don't agree with it. Examples: it's hard to say that an old song like "anima fragile" or a more recent one like "sally" can be classified as banal pop-rock, just as from a purely harmonic standpoint, some ballads by the Durans (save a prayer, the chauffeur, etc...) are something the good Pet have never even dreamed of. If you want to find an example of "author pop" from the eighties, you need to look elsewhere...like, I don't know...Howard Jones...? But there are plenty...anyway, kisses.

this absolute dichotomy between commitment and apparent disengagement, however, is not entirely convincing, at least in my opinion. Let’s think of a giant like Battisti…: commitment, disengagement, charts, ivory tower…how many things could we say (and their opposite)? the song, those times when it is beautiful, has "commitment" in itself (at least in a broad sense, and, of course, for me). kisses

zetazorro: we understand each other perfectly. In fact, I'll go further. The more I listen to him, the more I'm convinced he is the best solo artist alongside "sailing ...". Opinions... but it's a fact that the album needs to be listened to, chewed over, and judged by those who know...

forcione not received (pardon), while Biondi, at least in my opinion, is a big fat nothing. Pleasant, but just light stuff for chilling out with a drink in hand (definitely not some fine Calvados, but a well-made cocktail). Alone, all alone. Want a big voice? Look elsewhere (namely to those he copies: Barry White, Isaac Hayes above all...). Kisses

Frankly, even for me, the 3 is inexplicable... either I was drunk or I slipped up with my finger...
