Guys: it depends on your age. If you've been over 30 for a while, I assure you that the first Vasco, for Italy, was new, absolutely provocative, original, and had much more personality than today. You can't judge the first Star Wars having seen it after everything that came later... back in its time, it was exceptional; viewed today, it remains exceptional philologically but in many ways it feels outdated, clichéd, poorly acted... (or, better yet, an even more fitting example... you can't judge Lucas back then based on the new trilogy...). Same thing for Vasco. Kisses.

@francesco: it seems that you undervalue astronaut because he has been successful... (clarify, it seems to me a very common opinion about DeB, but a loser...). @adriano: beautiful, well-motivated, democratic, and conversational.

Cohen: to consider it "niche" seems to me, I don’t know how to say it..., gratifying, reassuring for you... But it’s not the case: the opinion of the average Italian Joe counts like the two of clubs in a game of briscola. In all, I mean all, the culturally more evolved countries than ours (those, just to clarify, where you can find jazz records in stores in towns of twenty thousand inhabitants and where you can't find a house without a piano...) the good Leonard is certainly regarded as one of the top 5 singer-songwriters of all time and one of the best writers of the late twentieth century. Your argument, in summary, seems to hide the fact that it’s you who believes that what is mainstream cannot be art, and not the other way around. Clarify.... Kisses

@trickykid: I basically agree with you, although a distinction should be made. Art (including "pop" art) is rightly meant to be primarily mass-produced, that is, created and conceived "to sell." But there is also a different, more niche approach. For example: I am a strong enthusiast and listener of jazz and singer-songwriter music (if you read me, you know...), but I have an approach as a pure listener, and at a concert full of intellectuals pretending to understand, I prefer my couch, with its silence and a good glass of calvà (it’s just an example, don’t overrate it...). As for the rest, selling is not a crime, just as not selling (by personal choice or otherwise) is not a crime, nor is selling little. The sales levels have very broad reasons and explanations that often transcend the quality of the product itself. Vasco, for instance, sells a lot of recent and modest products, while he sold very little of the ancient and good ones (which he made, back in the day,... oh yes). Kisses.

Is Vasco the one who became Tinì Cansino...? You’re probably too young to know and/or remember it, I’m afraid, but putting the two together you’d likely combust from self-ignition.... Kisses, guys, and save your anger for more important things, trust me.

definitely a beautiful, experimental, original record...: the proven proof that Lucio was an eclectic genius and the archetype of an album that today no one would ever produce. Amen
Sting Songs From The Labyrinth

he's still one who, in the span of a year, went on a rock tour with his quartet, released a "classic" album with its corresponding tour, and reunited the Police. He can be labeled as a nerd as much as you want, but he’s undoubtedly a guy with balls like that. Kisses
Sylvester Stallone Rocky Balboa

respectfully disagree: for me, the first two are beautiful, the III and IV are enjoyable nonsense, the V is quite nice, and the last one is an almost perfect philological work forbidden to those under 35. Of course, it's an extremely debatable opinion. Kisses
