Francesco De Gregori Per brevità chiamato artista

the only other observation: the space for young people shouldn't be created by DeGregori, who does his thing and does it well; it should be created by the market and the record multinationals (running on fumes, rightly so). And perhaps the youngsters should be less imitative, school-like, flat, and lacking in personality... even the best one, how far is he from Faber...?

guys...so many comments...great. Thank you all, especially to those who appreciated the style of the review... What worries me is that even a father of songwriting, producing a work of pure honesty and still well-written, is, in the eyes of many, so undervalued... Anyway...: opinions, all very respectable. Someone was telling me who the "brufolosi" are...well...I would say almost everyone, right? Don't you think that light music today is a living dead kept alive by a short-sighted market like never before...? certainly there is a valid underground scene, but if it doesn't emerge (the market doesn't give a damn) and remains in the little garden of friends, what value does it have, if not an intrinsic and important artistic value for a proud minority...? The work must be "mass" oriented. There was a time when Ellington, Trane, Faber reached the masses... and today....??? That's why having Degro at the top of the charts is (it must be, think about it) good news. Kisses

I'm also discussing with Marpado about my review of "il mondo che vorrei"... yes, I think there's an excessive hatred towards Vasco... soon they'll blame him for the mafia, bad weather, and the Punic Wars... Moreover, they only amplify his importance...: my theory of the great past and the dignified present (even if a bit "baraconesque") doesn't have many followers... amen... Salùt

No: the objective difference is that Vasco, in our musical landscape, at least until '83, has a past… the others are just the flower of decadence, without a past or present… neither saints nor heroes, obviously… (just kidding). Anyway, Pezzali-Pausini are the non-thought, Vasco could be the suspension of thought...

It may be... but the real danger, I continue to see elsewhere...: in the 80,000 in the square for the kids from Amici, in the Grammys for Pausini, in the absolute lack of any decent songwriter in the post-Capossela... etc. Certainly, those who "Vasco is our only god" are just poor fools, that's not even worth discussing... but I don't know how many there are, and above all, I believe I know how much they matter (very little)... I'm scared of the return of the melodic (Bocelli), of valid instrumentalists making crap songs (Britti), of idiots elevated to youth authors (Pezzali), those who sell worldwide and represent us (Ramazzotti), those who are mistaken for Fellini and have not even a fingernail of his (Benigni), those who insult Moroccans and buy little coats for their poodles... shall I go on...? Isn't Vasco, after all, a pretty small matter...?

It will be... but I continue to believe that between a thirty-something who works all week and then goes to see Vasco without too many worries, and a twenty-something who anesthetizes their brain in front of friends (or any other TV show), the second one scares me more. Between someone who experiences Vasco as a fun ride and those who think the Negramaro are good and Cammariere is a singer-songwriter, the second group always frightens me more... it’s like that, we think differently... amen... I must be a second-class being (a rather dangerous theory, don’t you think...?) kisses

What do you say, shall we organize a nice act of terrorism...? Shall we seek justice...? Boy, but isn’t it better to direct the hatred (for those who are still lucky/unlucky enough to have it) toward those who have killed the critical sense of this country, those who brainwash people... that is, toward the cause rather than obsessing over the (presumed) effects...? Kisses

it's nice to see that someone isn't ashamed, shares, and acknowledges a generational judgment, hello to you, Gardy

Nothing unpublished from the Panellian period has been officially released. The only stuff can be found online. No trace either of the unpublished works that were supposed to emerge around the time of the death. I do not agree with what you say about appearance, dear Stefano NIP. My personal ranking of the bianconi, as far as it matters, is: don giovanni, l'apparenza, csar, la sposa, hegel. Kisses.
