It's difficult to engage with adolescent, generational discussions that are poorly or inadequately motivated... whoever says that "dar" shines only for the electronics isn't just someone who certainly can't play, but is definitely someone who doesn't know how to listen (or listens to what they want to hear). Let's get into the details: the genius lies in the bass line of "Money" and the seven-four structure, not in the little sounds at the beginning, which could very well not be there. But having these discussions with you, dear hymen, feels like talking about Ibra to a woman... kisses, fiulèi.

Are you really sure that there was all this electronics in the seventies...? Have you ever approached an instrument...? And by the way, which is the best count, if I may ask, razmataz? fiulèi...

my boy... being more than twenty years older than you... let's make a pact: we swap. You become Primiballi/Dr FullG (great stuff...), a lawyer, musician, author of books, and above all, an unrepentant dirty-minded guy, while I become you, I understand the lights and especially have the most beautiful twenty years of life ahead of me and not (in every sense) behind... Kisses (it's obvious that in the exchange you definitely lose out)

no: in fact, Rava, while appreciated, is certainly not mainstream. Mainstream were Trane and Miles over there, and Faber and Battisti over here. Exactly geniuses. But anyway, it's obvious, think what you want. Kisses and big hugs.

Without its electronic effects, an album like "Dark Side" would perhaps already be forgotten today........eeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh????? ??? I try to respect every opinion, but I really find this to be a complete nonsense... forgive me...

undoubtedly a generational issue.... with total respect for your tastes, but the names you mentioned, and that I’ve heard (especially Parente and Le Luci), mean nothing to me, absolutely nothing. But, as I said, it’s definitely a generational question. Capossela and Testa are still singer-songwriters to me... evidently, I don’t understand (perhaps) but certainly, I don’t love post-singer-songwriter. Kisses

not the mass as a guarantee of quality (a very popular counterargument about DeB), but the mass WITH a quality product as a guarantee of genius. Reaching the niche with quality or the mass with nonsense is (in both cases) extremely easier. Think about it and let me know. Kisses

seen live myself, with great satisfaction. If we really want to find a flaw, in my opinion, it lies in a slight lack of personality, which prevents him from being (even though he has the talent) on the level of various legends like Guccio, Degregori, or Fossati (not to mention Faber, of course). Let’s say, however, that if we need to name some worthy figures who continue the tradition of singer-songwriters... well... besides Testa and Capossela, I see very few... Kisses

@contemplazione: your post 25 is absolutely shareable, in every comma. As for the others, let's talk about those I know (I’m not claiming a culture I don’t have: Stanko and Bowie. True, they’ve found their (very interesting) voice, just like T. Blanchard in my opinion. But the point is the masses. I was saying that those who have reached the masses, which is not only not a crime but an extremely difficult feat, with a quality product, are ultimately emulators of Miles & Chet (I find that fairly undeniable). Boltro and Bosso are overrated, and Bollani is starting to act like a stand-up comedian, with the qualities he has... what a pity... So we agree more than it seems. @Fusillo: how can anyone not like Miles...? are you sure about what you’re saying? have you listened to him with the necessary attention? have you immersed yourself in the era (I’d say yes, if you appreciate Dizzy and Satch)... well... it seems impossible to me... Kisses anyway and always to everyone.

you see (and thank you so much for the mention in the review), you belong to an extremely rare breed (which also includes my young 24-year-old keyboardist/pianist...) that is the "delver into the past"... stuff that isn't fashionable, not trendy... While the highly enviable prerogative of your generation is having all of culture at the click of a button and for free... things that in my eighties were unimaginable... many kids simply don’t care and settle for the latest disposable product, a copycat that lasts on average a month, if that... Knowing the past is essential: it’s like knowing the ingredients and the preparation of a dish well: you enjoy it much more, and nobody will ever pull the wool over your eyes again... Well done, truly, you give courage to an almost old man like me, prey to the most fierce disillusionment more and more each day. Then, of course, great review and splendid album.
