Vinicio Capossela Da Solo

Thank you all: I knew I would provoke some perplexities, which have regularly arrived, about mule variations... or rather the only "sold" album of the good TW (in the sense that it's the only one he has sold in the recent past...). I consider it an easy album, already heard, where the good Tom doesn't use his "big voice" even once, and that is essentially a glaring step back from the absolute masterpiece bone machine... here the similarities with our Vinicio. Then, that mule was also listened to yesterday... well... that doesn't count: I meant to signify that it's modest for Tom, not absolutely. In the sense that Waits' average hovers between 9 and 10, and for me mule is an 8.5. That is, a burp from Waits is better than the prettiest song by Brian Adams, just to name one... On this Capossela, I see there's substantial and widespread agreement... what a pity, yes: misery loves company, but it's always a bad thing... Kisses to all.

What I meant, and what I mean, is that it’s the same dish, but really the same (nothing absolutely new) just cooked very well, while the two direct competitors (Conte and Capossela) have cooked the same dish not to the best of their ability (and certainly less well, for both, than in the penultimate two tests)... But you are right: however you see it, let’s console ourselves: the landscape, now, is and will be dominated by Titty Iron, Giusiferreri, gigidaless, and various neomelodic decadences (I nearly forgot bocelli&pausini… unforgivable). The important thing is to know that our country, culturally a dwarf, militarily a worm, and politically nothing, still has a few singer-songwriters and some writers who, no matter how bad it gets, manage to live with dignity... Kisses

Right... if you want to die laughing (or maybe just have some fun, forgiving us...) check out something from my group, obviously a tribute (not an imitation) to the boss...: Hungry Hearts, on MySpace and YouTube... Kisses (and on Friday we’ll be playing at the civic theater in Tortona... tribute to the boss in theater... well...)

By the way... I see that Stukausen Cuordileone has a numerical record of comments and another one for reviews and insights (that is, "0")... wow, I mean... wasn't it better to remain anonymous to say certain things, producing absolutely nothing...? And with the speed at which you reply... don't you have anything better to do in life...? Anyway, you also help us believe in democracy. Thank you for existing. Kisses

make you laugh the stokausato that I hoped was the funniest and temporary part of the figa and instead it is part of DeB that is anything but funny and temporary. It's always a pleasure (the purpose, preparti, is to make you convulse with laughter), I greet with infinite sympathy and appreciation all the others, folks who think about records without slices of salami on their eyes. To anyone judging this record from a single, even superficial, listen, I repeat: guys, chew and chew again, you’ll truly appreciate the deep flavor. Kisses to everyone.

What a shame, really a shame… I was hoping for a bit of healthy joviality… a vice that seems forbidden to minors lately… and anyway, the intact hymen of happiness, today is October 23rd, and Fossati’s album is beautiful, truly beautiful… (and don’t think you’re so cultured, kid, because even here in these desolate lands of the Bassa, we know KarlHEINZ as well… and we still prefer a young hymen). Goodnight to you.

No: just read my review of Elegia. I compared, I quote myself, the "current competitors," namely the modest, albeit well-made, "Psiche" and the pleasant and retrogressive "Da Solo" by Capossela... that's all... and today is October 22.

Thank you again, everyone. More and more convinced of my position and that of Shine. Fossati made a sublime choice, expressing himself at his best and using the usual (excellent) tools perfectly. Surely, in my opinion... at least..., he has left the two current competitors far behind (speaking of "great song"), namely the old and tired Conte, and the "gambero" Capossela, who, like Waits after "bone machine," has started his backward march..... Kisses.
