Well... there's one thing I appreciate about this sea trout: once on DeB, those who spouted nonsense like that were anonymous; at least this one has registered. Seriously: the turning point with the Fab4, just like with Elvis, lies in having turned the page and opened another one that, it’s true, others may have developed even better. The same could perhaps apply to Dylan. But dates are not an opinion, neither are harmonies, nor the use of voice, and definitely not the lyrics. In Italy, before Modugno turned the page, influencing even Faber, there was Claudio Villa. So, that’s the only point. If Modugno were alive today and made original, fun records under a pseudonym, I would write the same review. Anyway, kisses, even to my young and lovely little enemies.

I enthusiastically subscribe to donnie n.48. I couldn't say better or different, so I'll reiterate. It's annoying (for heaven's sake, for no more than 20 seconds) to see kids spitting on the Fab4 perhaps having listened to them superficially (and ignorantly), not even trying for a moment to immerse themselves in the era, while probably knowing by heart the records of the excessively overrated Oasis...by the way...back in 2000, many put "What's the story..." among the ten best albums of the century...today, who would make such a delirious statement again...? ponder on this, people, ponder... Kisses (PS @easy: the niche is limiting because the sharing of the work of art is an essential requirement of a healthy society...true: ours isn't, and probably there's a lot of good in the niche too, but society should be evaluated for what it is and what it gives us, and today it is an unfortunately indisputable fact that there is no Faber, and if there is -I really doubt it...- no one dreams of producing him, I meant it in this sense)

What I'm saying is that no genius of modern music like Macca, Dylan, or Bowie reaches the mainstream today. Why? A long and probably difficult analysis, but it’s an undeniable fact. And niche products are ontologically limited and limiting (even if many find a certain snobbery in them comforting). It’s a nice discussion, if one were to engage in it, especially if we could avoid spoiled-child interventions like No. 10 from alessioiride. If we keep away the preadolescent foolishness, well... let’s talk about everything, it's fun and constructive.

@easycure: I repeat, I respect you. But I find your position to be so marked by snobbery and pretentiousness that it is, in the end, tragicomic. Then I console myself thinking that one reassures themselves however they like. One can even think that we, with our little songs tucked away in a drawer, are the best of all. It’s masturbatory, but it’s a way of reasoning, just the same. And then I think (but I only think this as an adult... or maybe as an old man...?) that people like Armstrong, Bowie, Sinatra, McCartney, and others didn’t make history by chance. But even that, in the end, is just my opinion. Kisses.

@easycure: okay, it’s yours, and I respect it just like everyone else’s. Not sharing, obviously, a single word.

As you know, I totally agree with both the analysis (right, in my opinion objectively) of the eighties and the boundless love for this album, a symbol of a great band, a great sound, and a great era. An album deserving of full marks, where the most underrated group in history brings together the best Dalla and the best Vasco, that is, the great music of that time, which actually went to the charts and stayed there. Even today, Italian music is in the charts, for heaven's sake....: seeeee...giusiferreri, giovannotto, titty iron, laurapausina..... but give me a break. Long live the '80s and long live Stadio. Well done.

very prepared, young talent Gustavo...: just let me know through other channels when you publish it, because with the multiple distractions that inhabit my life, I wouldn't want to miss it...
Franco Cerri e Gianni Basso Take the a train

@muffinman: Basso is great, he's historically important to us, but he's not exactly a genius on the sax... let's be clear. Too tied to his references and has always rested on his laurels... That said, if only there were more like him (but even among the new generation, there are definitely people who are technically better).
