trust me…raf…: the album is good. And now and then, the gene of art is a reality, as well as a great misfortune. Think of Cristiano de Andrè or Giorgio Conte, and tell me what careers they would have had if they weren’t brothers and sons (I maintain they would have had much more…). Whatever they do, they will always be compared…

let's say that for De Andrè (I repeat...great) in the first ten years of his career one name comes to mind (Brassens), what is the name that comes to mind for the best Dalla...? That said, VC, I repeat, writes very well and puts together albums of great interest. However, something of great interest might not be all that original. Or not...?

my idea, like all of them debatable, but if we take away the Fellinian aspect (but not the band-like) from Canzoni a Manovella, we are not too far from Frank's, even if I agree that the most clone-like album of the great Waits (apparently) is Il Ballo. I repeat...: I would like it to be a constructive criticism, I appreciate VC very much. What saddens me is the incapacity of Italians, with very rare exceptions, to not always show their natural vocation of being a colony. The exceptions, for me...? I would say Dalla up to 1983, almost all of Battiato, Conte and the best Fossati (for other reasons not DeGregori, not De André, whom I love, etc...). Everything, as always, highly debatable.

because Liga is talented and people deserve to talk and debate about it, no matter what some racist piece of shit, moreover anonymous, thinks.

sorry...: I always forget the grades (anyway 4). Thank you because it's an album that I felt deeply, in every sense, and it's therefore nice to see it appreciated by others as well. For Frantz: true Haden with Rubalcaba (I think you’re referring to Land Of The Sun) is an album that is nothing short of perfect, like almost all products of the recent past of the wonderful double bassist... While I expected more from Rubalcaba's latest...

I will be contrarian, but I like it, and not a little. I'm also a devotee of Knopfler, though, whose guitar work is abundantly felt. Perhaps it’s an album more deserving from a purely musical perspective than as pure singer-songwriter fare. But so be it... I like it...

it's not necessarily garbage. The review and the intent are garbage (pardon). But let's not rule out that it could have turned out to be an objectively good product. Sure...: an excellent cover band... (and let's still respect the voice and the past of Paul Rodgers... moreover, not an impersonator, and that's already something...)

Agreed, especially on the baroque nature (I would add pleasantly provincial) as a quality. But musically—as is evident...—almost everyone has something to say, which makes it statistically quite likely that VC has some small flaw, first and foremost the exaggerated recognizability of the sources of inspiration, often more cloned than quoted. Clearly, though, one must speak of Canzoni A Manovella having, at the very least, heard Frank's Wild Years by Waits, just to give one example... Anyway, one of the best in our musical scene, but perhaps also due to the strong shortcomings of the competition...

Thank you all for the compliments. Just a doubt, if we want to discuss it...: don't you think that Conte's bands after the Bandini-Tavolazzi-Villotti period are a bit like soulless little professors, very well directed and arranged, but nothing comparable to before...?

muzzle from the intervention to a hard-nosed approach, what do you mean, that it's not clear...? who could not be compared to whom...? when you write, you should waste a few more small details....
