but no...Iastbury was fine...but painted by himself and with an interpretative cover spirit...and not imitative...

I'm responding to H: because if two records come out together and you like one much more than the other, there's something mysterious about it...indeed.

Thank you (I know about the participation of microciccio... wonderful man from the side stage...)... honestly, I was hoping that EJ would get a bit more attention here... but it's okay anyway... Long live Jannacci.

The recent live shows of BD are a true mystery, fascinating and perhaps somewhat undefinable. A well-made DVD would be needed for deeper exploration. The fact remains that nothing can take away from the Giant his incredible past (which is something we have, not something we have lost...)

I agree with everything in the last statement, except for the love for Avion Travel, which I consider a remarkably transparent and fallible pseudo-intellectual phenomenon (for goodness' sake...: in the hands of very capable musicians). However, in the Battisti-Panella discourse, they have very little relevance. Gazzè and Tiromancino are undoubtedly the students. Unfortunately, they are light-years away from their masters.

I consider it among the best ever, superior (for me by a long shot) to the "return" of Mule Variations and also (and mysteriously) to the contemporary Blood Money. Moreover, it is different from the subsequent Real Gone (Alice has a distinctly piano-based style, while the other is guitar-driven). Nothing to say, outstanding, both the album and the author.

absolute agreement: the symbol of mimicry is unfortunately the sought-after physical resemblance to Jim. Pathetic stuff...

The problem lies in the contrast (the hiatus... so we give more fuel to the fire of the Accademico della Crusca) between what I see, which pisses me off, and what I feel, which still seems to me to be of good quality. Of course...: no comparison. Jim was a genius, the others are excellent craftsmen.
Adriano Pappalardo Oh! Era Ora

It was a continuous source of inspiration: even in "E Già" there’s a "rhythmic" acknowledgment to Pappalardo. Undoubtedly, however, this album foreshadows what to this day is the most brilliant and successful collaboration of high Italian pop, and the most imitated (Gazzè, Tiromancino, Audio2, etc... from where we think they draw inspiration - sometimes well, sometimes poorly...?). Anyway, well done voiceface, a truly cult album.

I'll say something a bit insulting (perhaps) or rather blasphemous...: if the project had remained the same as the original, with Copeland on drums and Astbury on vocals (but not misinterpreted by Jim... which is just laughable...) it could have been defined as a very interesting cover band (Astbury undoubtedly has a great voice, and the Cop would have given some Doors tracks a not useless interpretation). Then it went as it went... The LA Woman Live DVD of this group (which, obviously, are not the Doors, except in the slightest part) is objectively good, if comparisons are not made. But unfortunately, making comparisons is impossible. Do you agree…?
