Enzo Jannacci Teatro: Concerto di Storie (Tortona 11.11.2005)
Voto:
great musician and absolute support (comparable only to the immortal Peppino with Totò, no exaggeration...). the only case (perhaps I would also include De André junior, but that would make the discussion longer…) in which the presence of the son is not pathetic and annoying…
João Gilberto Live at Umbria Jazz

Absolutely beautiful and utterly cult album. Bought it immediately and played it heavily. A bit too much rhetoric in the review... but that's a matter of taste and style... the important thing is to talk about albums like this, and to speak about them positively regardless.

very beautiful record, bought of course in France. here they later released it, those champions of myopia who would call themselves record labels...? anyway, very beautiful, perhaps the best by the station master of Cuneo.
Keith Jarrett Paris Concert
Voto:
beautiful review. of course... talking about Jarrett is like trying to describe God. an almost impossible task. simply getting close to it is already a great achievement. this is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful solo piano concerts (provided that one wants, like some critics, to divide the Jarrettian adventure into solo and non-solo)...

total and respectful disagreement: Mina, for some years now, has been making beautiful records that are absolutely not born from any compromises (she does... as much as ever, only what she wants). The one from a few years ago about Modugno, for example, was an absolute masterpiece, just as the two from Naples were truly fantastic (in short... the jazz albums). Those with unreleased songs, as always, alternate splendid things with more unnecessary ones. This one takes the immense Sinatra as a "pretext" to create a beautiful album of great classic American songs. The album is very beautiful and if one must indeed find a flaw, it could be seen in a certain monotony of interpretation and arrangement. But it is, as always, practically perfect, in that hyperuranium sometimes touched by Vanoni and absolutely unknown (unfortunately) to all the other Italian female voices...

I'm just little songs... let's not joke around... Have doubts, savable... just barely... but...
Francesco Guccini Quello che non...
Voto:
for me the last absolute masterpiece (in the fullness of the concept) of Our Vate. then there was the era (which is still ongoing...) of the great craftsmanship... and if only there were more... as for the quarrel about the voice... well... Guccio belongs to an era where there were personal, recognizable voices, canonically wonderfully ugly, not warbling and not stupidly schoolish... a time very, very far away........

Good job, Cece. I completely agree with everything. The album is a true cult record. I also totally agree that the last act of brilliance was the following Kaiwanna. After that, nothing but irritating noise that risks even diminishing the value of what has already been done (ironically). The last album, with its winks to the youngsters, is pure senseless trash... Lastly, a nod to the '80s criticism (another one of my old points...). True: we were demanding and a bit snarky... but at the top of the charts, in first place, there were things like Com'è profondo il mare, Banana Republic... La voce del padrone.......... not gigidalessio...

Good reception to an incredibly beautiful album, probably the best of the DS in recent times. In some tracks, the guitarist's highlight of Waits is absolutely stunning...

That Battisti is more "other" than "forward" is an idea I've been cultivating for a few years now, and I completely agree with it. However, I'm about to make a bold statement regarding "Panella on part-time duty"...: don't you think that Minghi's album from last year was fundamentally beautiful and not imitative (or not too much) of Battisti's past...? Moreover, with PP in full service...?
