I am convinced that hip hop is a hybrid of music and poetry, and if anyone on this site has ever read Charles Bukowski, they can understand that poetry is not just heart-love or deep thoughts; poetry also consists of degrading and miserable everyday stories... that’s why I appreciate "the new" Fibra and Mondo Marcio, because their poetry is pure and simple, bad, perhaps hypocritical, but it is common, minimalist, just the way I like it. The Articolo 31, on the other hand, with their Nobody style, zero attitude for clocking in, have turned to forced and fake-desperate neopop poetry like "Solo" by Eamon, which is why I will always defend Italian hip hop, because it is simple, it can be liked or disliked, but, as demonstrated by Mr. Maiuscolo's comments, curses and rapes aside, it cannot be ignored...
