This CD, "Sindrome Di Fine Millennio," came out in '99 and, in my opinion, represents Fabri Fibra's best work after "Mr. Simpatia." Uomini di Mare are Lato and Fabri Fibra (at the time Fabbri Fl) and they open our eardrums to a technical and psychedelic sound, emblematic of the track that opens "Sindrome" with Dj Inesha and Esa, who join Fabri, where a subdued and partly disconnected rhythm, supported by Inesha's scratches, Fabri and Esa give life to a truly unique rap. Listening to "Sindrome Di Fine Millennio" for the first time on the fly messes with your brain, enters your lobes, tangles your head, penetrates the sensations and beats of your body itself, you can't take it anymore, you're there wanting to detach everything, but something keeps you glued to that sound, like Odysseus tied to the ship to resist listening to the sirens. And there it is again, the voice of Fibra and his traveling companions, from his brother Nesly, to chime Nadir, Shezan the Bright, Fritz Da Cat (even though he doesn't appear among the featuring, he still opens Teste Mobili Pt.1) and others, including the great Joe Cassano.
Listening to it for the first time, maybe it's not much, but by the second time, you begin to immerse yourself in this underground, dark sound, supported by rhymes, sometimes out-of-the-box, pure, unique, perfect... it's like having darkness around, darkness that cuddles you like a cradle, warm darkness, and voices, noises, sounds below, that make you move, make you LISTEN... then you start to understand them, by force of listening, and maybe you discover a unique gem like "Verso Altri Lidi" or "Vorrei o Non Dimentico"... and so let's not forget this CD, which, personally, deserves a place of honor in the Italian hip-hop pantheon.
From here, the greatness of Fibra is revealed, capable of poignant pieces, fun, fierce, sweet. Learn to strip away the sound with this great album.

"... it is what you live around the sound, one single thought, one single love: Uomini Di Mare..."

 This album is a masterpiece.

Fabri Fibra is the best Italian rapper, with smooth tongue and perfect rhymes.

Fabri Fibra's metrics were a roller coaster of assonances, palindromes, and vocal acrobatics, making him one of the best rappers on the Italian level.

We are faced with one of the best Italian hip-hop albums ever, and no one can call themselves a true fan if they have never listened to this album.

Fabri Fibra manages to grasp the true aim of rap, which is poetry, verses and music, counter-information, daily chronicle.

A CD never banal, a beautiful Artistic product, a work that somehow also requires a certain intellectual commitment.
