It seems a bit of a drag to me as a series; after the first three episodes, I was yawning...

@Mike, I'm not a fan of Zero, but it seems to me that he did an excellent job in this film.

From what I’ve seen, Alice looks promising even though it's under the Disney label... of course, a reinterpretation of the second book or a adaptation of American McGee's version would have been more interesting, but from the few photos that have leaked, everything looks pretty cool. No complaints about the film in question...

I believe it became a hit at the time also because the alternative for the average teenager was Dawson's Creek... perhaps the fact that the main characters are practically all half-failures, especially the protagonist, whose prospects are constantly diminished or wiped away, contributed to the process of "sympathy"... there's no successful character, almost no one gets what they want out of life, and when they do it doesn't last long. Certainly, the series was overrated, but I wouldn't want to harshly criticize it; it was easy to have a soft spot for the protagonist. PS. For the sake of consistency, they could have closed it with the fifth season; the abrupt "wild" acceleration in the last two seasons was indeed what people had wanted to see for a long time, but the device used was awful. It would have made sense to end it with the protagonist's death.

the review made me smile… great ultra-violent souls, but it has taken some wrinkles.
