X Neu Perhaps when rock is considered solely for its artistic value, and not for its cultural relevance, history will sweep away these cardboard myths. In the meantime, I have two questions for you. Since you listen to music like "Neu!, Velvet Underground, Pere Ubu, Faust, Foetus, Nico, Doors, Popol Vuh, Captain Beefheart, Robert Wyatt, early Frank Zappa, Lisa Germano, Suicide..." how can you give a rating of 3 to such nonsense? Also, why do you even consider something as terrible as Sgt. Pepper's to be decent? Perhaps because you think it has innovative value for those years? Well, in '67 came the legendary debut of the Velvet with Nico, Beefheart's first album, Frank Zappa with Absolutely Free, and if that’s not enough, Parable Of Arable Land by Red Crayola, and I could keep going, but you know them better than I do. So help me understand, is there something in that record that I missed?
For Beatles fans, I'm not talking to you; feel free to do the same. I only asked a question to Neu, I respect your opinions but I've debated them long before the internet was invented. I’ve always hated them, but maybe it’s me who can’t grasp the magic they produced, which evidently eludes people like me and, possibly, Neu judging by what he listens to. But I was only addressing him; I don't want to argue with anyone. Good morning.

what a coincidence I made myself a playlist of their best from the 60s/70s that I'm listening to now as the soundtrack for a bit of browsing.
When I stopped here to look for new reviews, here they are!
Well, what can I say, perhaps because of what I'm listening to now,
I agree with those who say that since the late 70s
they were already (artistically) dead.
You can't live a life on a glorious past.
Rightly, I'll be told about evolution,
You can't repeat the same music endlessly.
Alright, but if a band
‘evolving’ gets worse, then why waste more time on them,
I know I’m raising the ire of fans but I
have no idols.
In 25 years of passion for R&R
I have never become a fan of any group,
rather of immortal records but never of discographies.
I remember when it came out it circulated for a bit, but if I don't like it now,
imagine during my peak musical nihilism. (and not just that)
Good night from your impromptu visitor

Alan Vega Collision Drive

Great album, my favorite by Alan Vega.
I like the review, you exaggerate a bit with the comparison to the legendary Suicide.
Nice also the detailed description of the tracks.
My favorite; obviously 'Viet Vet' the most Suicide /Ghostrider aside/.
I know many prefer more holistic reviews, but sometimes, if someone doesn't know the album, so-called track by track (not talking about this one) help to better frame it and decide whether to listen to it.

Foxtrot what a drag!!!
I have this record and it's been collecting dust since ages.
Anyone who isn't enthusiastic has simply heard better.
And just in the prog genre, you know how many better ones there were (albums or artists).
